Yesterday I had a funeral for my old car. 219,000 miles was all it had in it. Today, I celebrate the birth of my new car. 2026 Chevy Trax. Drove off the lot with 5 miles on it. I’ve never bought a new car before… should have done this a long time ago. No name yet.

I’ve been working at my new job for about a month now. Honestly couldn’t be happier. Everything is everything! This is my first production here I’m running. I designed this set, I’m producing, and directing this show. I’ve been pre-pro-ing for 2 weeks, and today is finally here, the first day of production. And Low key, the last week has been incredible as well my boys @thefilmhoodie @thenashvillemanager @theroaminggaffer and I shot a really dope music video with our girl @caitlynnecurtis_ over the weekend that we can’t wait to show. And she just announced her debut at the Grand Ole Opry yesterday! Huge shout out to her!

I’m not gonna lie… this one means more than I can really put into words.
There were moments in this process where I questioned everything. Applied to job after job… hearing nothing back… trying to stay confident while quietly wondering if I was missing something. It’s a strange feeling when people tell you how talented you are, but the opportunities don’t reflect it. That disconnect can mess with you if you let it. But I stayed with it. And now… I’ve stepped into a role that truly fits who I am. Not just what I can do, but how I think, how I create, how I see the world.
That kind of alignment is rare. I feel incredibly lucky. But more than that, I feel grateful I didn’t quit on myself when it got hard.

This isn’t the end of the journey, it’s just a new chapter. And I’m walking into it with purpose.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been 100% freelance. I haven’t had a full-time job since 2016.

I’m really grateful for all the opportunities, the places it took me, and especially the people I’ve had the chance to work alongside. It shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. Growing up, I used to hear people say your goals change as you get older. I never really understood that… until recently. I’m not walking away from my passion at all, but I am learning that it can evolve, and that growth doesn’t always look how you imagined.

Today, I’m starting a new chapter as a Full-Time Video Producer with a film house in Franklin, TN.

This process humbled me more than anything. Since October, I applied to 51 jobs—roles I knew I was capable of—and only received two offers. It was tough at times, especially hearing people believe in me while trying to find that same belief in myself. But all it takes is one opportunity. I’m thankful for the one that saw me, believed in me, and gave me a chance to step into something new. Excited for what’s ahead.

Twenty years ago, my daughter entered this world for six weeks. Six weeks that changed me forever. Six weeks that taught me a kind of love that doesn’t measure itself in years, but in depth.

Today she would have been 20.

I often think about who she would be. What she’d laugh at. What music she’d play too loud in the car. What dreams would be unfolding in front of her right now. But even without those chapters, her life was not small.

She made me a father. She reshaped my heart. She carved out a space in me that will always belong to her. Grief has a way of evolving, but love doesn’t fade. It doesn’t shrink. It expands to fill the years that never came.

Twenty years later, I still carry her. In the quiet moments. In the milestones. In the man I’ve become. Her six weeks gave me a lifetime of perspective.
