If you attended this year’s #IVFF2025 and got a great discount (or a #FREE weekend pass!?) please consider how the experience watching #veganfilm enriched your life and how much you would like that experience for others in the future. The #IVFF belongs to the movement…feed it well and it will grow.
This week we want to hear how vegans found their way because of #vegan films and how they’re #GivingBack. I (@raykowalchuk) will go first!

For the next week, every #GivingTuesday donation will automatically enter you into a draw for #FREE IVFF Virtual Festival tickets.
This is YOUR Film Festival.
In our show-me-don’t-tell-me culture, the vegan cinematic genre is an undeniable voice of the movement, whether you’re on the front lines of animal rights or a veg-curious fledgling still finding your way through the animal-free section of the grocery store. Many of you wouldn’t be reading this right now if it wasn’t for a piece of media that made you blink, made you think, made you cry, or made you rejoice that a better way was possible.
While you know a “vegan film” when you meet one, it wasn’t until the International Vegan Film Festival came along that the genre was born out of necessity — does this film capture the vegan spirit or doesn’t it? Nobody realized what a big responsibility that was, to start curating films that celebrate vegans, the filmmakers, and the animals whose desires they have interpreted.
In its 8th year the IVFF has confidently expanded from one film program to nine, bolstered by an unprecedented volume of submissions from many countries. Those who participated in World Vegan Day Weekend, Oct. 31 to November 2, saw up to 24 hours of programming (and even Encore screenings on Monday). If you were not able to participate we are delighted to present the IVFF Virtual Festival, where online viewing truly makes it an international event.
Follow the link in our bio to find out how you can support the #Internationalveganfilmfestival on #GivingTuesday — we need your donations but your heart, mind, and energy have many applications to secure what is and build what will become.

Taking a moment to calculate how vegan films develop and codify the convictions of the animal and vegan movements should be as easy as 1 + 1 = 2. But on #GivingTuesday, your job is multiplication, because adding your energy and resources increases our efficacy at an exponential rate — not to mention that we’ve got a donor that will times your donation by two!
Thank you #Toronto for making the 8th International Vegan Film Festival a weekend of expanding scope and conviction. But we’re not done for #IVFF2025 — the unprecedented number of #IVFF2025 selections now need the global platform of the IVFF Virtual Festival. Your donations are critical for our films to reach the retinas 👀of the rest of the world 🌏.
Don’t have the cash?💰 We can still use your energy 💪, time🕰, and knowledge🧠. There is a place for you in our roster of volunteers, or DM us directly to illustrate how your skills can make the difference for the festival, filmmakers, and, always, the animals.

Our documentary “Food Systems Change Not Climate Change” was the winner of the Environmental Protection category at this year’s International Vegan Film Festival (@the_ivff) in Toronto.
Plant Based Treaty’s Global Campaign Coordinator @Anita.Krajnc spoke at the Q&A session after the film screening. Both the Q&A discussion as well as the full documentary are available to watch on our YouTube channel.
Comment ‘Watch’ and we will DM you the links to both. 🔗
If you (or someone you know) weren’t able to watch “Humans and Other Animals” at the International Vegan Film on November 2 be sure to subscribe to the IVFF newsletter — we will be announcing dates for our virtual festival soon!Follow the link 🔗 in our bio
Developing on the themes established by his 2013 documentary “Speciesism: The Movie,” Director Mark DeVries leads an audience trying to understand the animal movement through his latest film, “Humans and Other Animals.” Amidst a #documentary genre that lays out the facts, Mark takes us on a journey of contemplation of how modern lifestyles have shaped our food industries and vice versa, amidst a family tree that re-aquaints us with our animal cousins who are here with us, not for us.
The 2025 IVFF recognizes Mark DeVries (@markdevriesstudio) and “Humans and Other Animals” with an Honorable Mention in the Animal Advocacy category. Peter Singer acknowledges “Humans and Other Animals” as a film that embodies his 1975 book, “Animal Liberation,” and we hope that it ignites the modern #animalrights movement and inspires the social transformation that recognizes #speciesism as indefensible as #racism or #sexism.

#Repeat Win in the #IVFF2025 Social Media Category for @menkay.ig, for his powerful and clever “Is This Real Life?” matching themes to the lyrics of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Is it time to dispel the mythical fantasies of humane animal products when ALL of the male chicks (“I’m just a poor boy…”) in a hatchery are gruesomely dispatched? “Caught in a landslide” indeed, with no “escape from [the] reality” of eggs. Some sympathy — nay, empathy — is actually in order, and Menkay’s 2025 offering builds on his win from 2024, “The Humane Way to Kill” (follow the links on our theivff.com) to level with consumers — there isn’t a humane way to kill an animal that wants to live.
Maybe you caught the announcement live in Toronto at the 2025 International Vegan Film Festival on Oct. 31-Nov. 2 — if you did, please share your experience and impression of the festival below. If you missed it — well, you can still watch this year’s selections at our Virtual Festival. Announcements will be made to our newsletter subscribers (follow the link 🔗 in our bio), as well as unfolding schedules for the IVFF World Tour…if you’d like a vegan film festival in your city DM us directly!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
