Hey LA! May 1 at 6pm will be the Los Angeles premiere of "The A List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas," at the Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival.

All tickets are available online only, so please grab yours at https://festival.vcmedia.org/2026/

This year's festival is dedicated to cultivating joy and wellness within ourselves and our communities, and that theme aligns beautifully with what we hope our film does as well. Making the film has been an exercise in community building, and we hope that comes across to you all as well!

The entire slate looks incredible, with more than 100 filmmakers' work being screened. Come through to as many as you can!

And a huge applause to the whole team at VC, for carrying forward the mission of an organization that means so much to us all.

Opening night! I’m overjoyed and humbled to share that “The A List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas” will be opening this year’s edition of CAAMFest.

Every exercise in list-making is not just about who’s on the list, but who gets left off. We tried as best we could to be mindful of past erasures in creating our group portrait, knowing that we could not help but create new ones as we went. It’s the nature of the exercise, and we strived to tread carefully.

So it’s a tremendous honor to have our film be invited to open up CAAMFest. The festival is near and dear to my heart, having had the fortune to screen past work there. And it’s gratifying to know that our work passes muster in our communities. The community, in the end, is the most important audience for any film, and this one in particular. So it’s an honor for Don Young, CAAM and the team of brilliant folks there to honor us with this slot.

And I have to thank the 15 amazing individuals who shared their time with us, and told us about some of their best days, and some of their worst. Their trust is what gives the film its heart and its soul.

So, in other news: another film I directed, “THE A LIST: 15 Stories of Asian and Pacific Diasporas” will be premiering at @docnycfest next month!

I’ll be at both screenings, along with executive producer @tgs, producer and interviewer @alphajada, and other members of the filmmaking team, so come through and say hi!

The film is the latest in the “List” series, created by EP @tgs, and features short profiles of 15 remarkable people from the communities that get lumped under one of the many umbrella terms that have been applied to us: Asian American, API, AAPI, AANHPI, APIDA, and more. Some of our participants are well-known, in the public eye; others, a bit less so. But they all have a story to tell, and we’re honored to share them.

When we put this film together, we couldn’t have imagined all that would be going on now, in the country and in the world. But it’s made me all the more grateful to the 15 remarkable people who shared their stories with us. It reminded me of how important our stories are, now more than ever.

And all the thanks in the world to the talented list of artists and creatives, many from AANHPI communities, who helped bring the film together. I really treasured the collaborations in this project, and I’ve listed them below in comments, because of character limits!

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
