DJ Papaya’s approach to mixing draws upon bass music, downtempo, and leftfield electronics, to craft surreal and emotionally complex narratives, rich in texture and rooted in the sensibilities of dub. They are a co-founder of the ambient/experimental series Spindrift ( @spindrift.phl ), as well as the bass music party Chrysalis ( @chrysalis.goop ).

Following DJ Papaya, RP Coast ( @calla_discs ) will deliver an exclusive live set. @_shai.fm_ will close the event with his distinct interpretation of dub frequencies.

DJ Papaya will be the first curator for our event series at our newly opened location on Coral Street ( inside @forincafe ) in the heart of East Kensington 🌏 Over the next five months, we will host a lineup of showcases featuring some of Philadelphia’s most esteemed artists and collectives. This edition will highlight the talented @_shai.fm_ , a multidisciplinary artist and producer known for several recent notable releases. RP Coast from @calla_discs will present an exclusive live act for this occasion, and our host @papaya.official will connect the dots with their unique musical selections.
