The Living End are one of Australia’s most formidable and essential rock bands. Since their formation in the suburbs of Melbourne in 1994, the band have honed a sound that draws influence from punk, rockabilly, ska and straight up, balls-to-the-wall rock ‘n’ roll.

Having created early buzz with their EPs ‘Hellbound’ and ‘It’s For Your Own Good’, the band shot to fame in 1997 with the release of their double A-side single “Second Solution” / “Prisoner of Society”, which peaked at No. 4 on the Aus Singles Chart and achieved triple platinum sales. Their self-titled debut album followed soon after, winning Breakthrough Artist, Album and Best Group at the 1998 ARIA Awards, and went on to become one of the highest-selling debut rock albums in Australian history.

The induction will take place as a special standalone event on Thursday, 11 June 2026 at @carriageworks, Sydney, marking a milestone moment as ARIA celebrates the 40th anniversary of the ARIA Awards in partnership with Spotify.

In the aftermath of the LA fires, what began as an idea between Ali Pistoresi and Alison Sieh grew into a meaningful collaboration between Audiomachine, BMG, and the Angeles Chorale, with the aim of giving back and giving voice to what the community had endured.

Recorded at EastWest Studios, RESONANCE features five sweeping orchestral-choral covers of iconic songs by John Legend, P!nk, Lewis Capaldi, Harry Nilsson, and Keane, alongside four original choral works by Audiomachine.
