Day 4 of trying to build all of my guitar pedals in Serum 2's FX rack. We're going with the legendary swedish chainsaw today.

Interestingly, the tone knobs are more or less what defines the pedal's sound, but there is still plenty of clipping happening, including some obvious biasing which Serum 2 absolutely hates doing (so I have to fake it).

Funny enough, this pedal sounds like a "touchy" big muff opamp fuzz. The real difference between this and the previous video is how the RAT handles dynamics.... and Serum 2 really did not want to accommodate my needs this time around.

Day 2 of trying to build all of my guitar pedals in Serum 2's FX rack. Today we're doing the EHX Big Muff Pi OpAmp.

This pedal design first appeared in 1978, deviating from the original Big Muff Pi schematic in a way which also noticeably altered the tone (and I personally like it better that way). The easiest part to match in Serum is the clipping style. The hardest part to nail is the way it "feels" in practice.
