I’ve been feeling the extreme sickness and weight of what it’s like to be a trans woman cannibalised and commodified in today’s society. Somehow in having the autonomy to exist, we’ve become prey; whether it’s ugly politicians searching for a scapegoat or finance bros with a cross dressing and pegging fetish- somewhere along the way my body has stopped feeling like mine.
and that was supposed to be the whole point.
What remains when we let them slap a price tag, nutritional label, and expiration date on our beauty?
