For anyone wondering what we’ve been up to all this time—We started a radio station in the Gulf Coast. ✨

What started pre-pandemic as a quick thought about having a residency on our favorite station turned into guest spots during the lockdown, and intense study on the logistics of running a station once we started touring in ‘22. We got to see some lovely communities around the globe that sprung up around these independent stations, all while the scene back home was in limbo—dead venues, retired bands and DJs, everybody moving to Philly, etc…We knew the Gulf Coast needed this energy. Our small crew of friends and acquaintances trusted our lil hare-brained scheme and came together to form the Sector family, which is growing every week. New DJs, new parties, new crews and new ways of thinking are all springing out of thin air in the Gulf Coast right now because all of us decided to say “fuck it, we can do it too”. The god @michaelryanbrennan created our logo, because who else? Sector resident @okay.benny did the website, and all ~30+ of us (not all pictured but all important as hell) are on the backend and in-studio keeping the ship running every week. The name has many origins, but if you know us you know it’s always at least a little UK influence in the mix (ha ha).

Much Love to Tehmeena & Rose, Frankie & Knox, and Sigourney & Giulia for answering all our annoying questions about how their stations run—yall might not even remember haha, but we will forever.

It’s been softly running weekly for the last 6 months and is very much still the early stages, still evolving and getting better all the time, strictly for the benefit of the Gulf Coast scene. Story is out now via @cltampabay—Consider this the full official launch of @sector.fm ⚪️⚫️

Last year at @bigcaaf we had the pleasure of linking back up with Tampa duo @theyhatechange , three years after we first interviewed them at SXSW 2022.

After visiting with radio stations while touring across the globe in 2022, the duo realized they wanted to replicate this in their hometown… and then came @sector.fm - which broadcasts every Wednesday and Sunday from 9AM-9PM ET and boasts dozens of resident DJs.

This year at BIG Fest, the experience returns, with Sector FM residents taking over the Loft from 6-9:30 PM and They Hate Change performing inside How Bazar at 10:40. For festivalgoers looking to experience the sounds of Tampa Bay jook and more, keep an eye out!!

@delilahholliday took us to our first Soul Dance, at @ridleyroadmb in 2023. The following Valentine’s Day, we partnered up with @weresweetgirls to bring the spirit back to the Gulf Coast, and y'all went crazy! This will be our 3rd year spinning all night for you, and somehow we still haven’t reached the bottom of the crate (and never will!) Hosted by our gracious partners @banditstpete, Sweethearts is for all the lovers, all the heads, and all the OGs that remember Sugar Bear soul dances on Central Ave—WSG (as always) is holding it down on setting the mood and creating the perfect zone for your slow dance, while we thumb through the wax to keep your feet moving. Peace to @taina.enserio joining us on the decks (picking up where our family @americansquirm left off), and @sapphicsunfl is serving printed gems all night, strictly for the lovers. As usual, broadcasting live on @sector.fm for everybody outside the Gulf—For all the hometowners, put on your best and come get live! 💜✨ February 14th!!

I met Vonne and Dre aka @theyhatechange at their show at Miscellania (shout out @pennydropp + @content.net.au ) they absolutely ripped. love what they do, pushing their new sound from the Gulf Coast with expert flows over breakbeat / house / jungle / whatever suits them.

They are legitimate omnivorous music freaks, I was pretty surprised when they had heard my last record, but when Vonne name-checked Jan Jelinek in the club I knew we had to work together…

Here’s Running In Place. It’s about trying to find purpose amongst the Grind. “Stand tall like I’m ‘posed to” 💫🛠️

Debt out in 2 weeks.
First US show even sooner than that.

On @swu.fm today at 8BST 3EST with some very special guests!! This month the entire show is a special guest mix from They Hate Change, a rap duo hailing from the Gulf Coast of Florida, Tampa Bay / St Petersburg massive! @theyhatechange

They are longtime friends, producers, rappers, and musicians, along with also being founders of a radio station in their hometown, Sector FM. Sector FM has formed a really amazing local community of producers, DJs, and musicians in the Tampa area— a big testament to the power of DIY and radio!

They are fellow anglophiles, with music influenced by jungle, Dnb, Chicago footwork, grime, post-punk, hip hop, krautrock and emo, plus local Florida electronic genres like Miami Bass and jook and countless other references (these folks are deep in the liner notes!!). No matter the inspiration though, they filter it through their special They Hate Change lens, coming out with something super unique.

This mix tonight is on a more relaxed tip than most of their music and (amazing) live shows, which are usually higher energy, instead exploring the scene of Slow Music in Tampa. I’m honored to have them on the show and sharing their contribution to this sonic history right here on SWU.

In their words:

“Almost anywhere you go in Florida Fast Music is embedded in the local culture, but of course we do it different in Tampa Bay—Slow Music is what we ride around to and grow up hearing playing out of cars (LOUD as hell, naturally). Rock-It-Rod and Jam Pony slow mixtapes were burning the city up well before we ever heard of DJ Screw or Michael Watts—must be a Gulf Coast thing! This is our lil contribution to that lineage ✨”

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed?
