Our COO & Strategy Director, @crumpledchocolatewrapper had a milestone bday today and I’m repurposing this photo from Diwali because Rohini is in Italy doing what she does best - journaling, recalibrating, percolating, finding inspiration and hopefully eating everything.

Happy Bday Rohini, every single collaborator, client, team member and friend who has worked with you knows how special you are. You bring so much rigour and depth to our work, but more than that, you are an inspiration to all of us with your ability to juggle so many balls all at once while always picking only the best outfits even on days when sweatpants are in order.

Please don’t DM us about these, even we haven’t managed to get our hands on them since it launched as it’s yet to launch in Bombay! We’re just glad we gobbled a few samples which were UNREAL and some of us think it’s actually even better than #aamchi (don’t kill us for having personal preferences hehehe) but it is just that good!!

According to me it tastes like a very very fresh lemon cheese cake but in an ice cream format. Gosh, pls launch it in Bombay soon guys!!

The thing about having a studio, a space you practice your discipline and craft, every single day - is that it’s an opportunity to create a little bubble that’s suspended in the middle of everything else. A portal that helps you zone out of one space and zone into another.

I believe spaces have the ability to reset your nervous system, to inspire you and to make you feel at home. Every little detail matters including the materials you chose, how much light you let in and the little things that make you pause.

As someone who is very sensitive to their surroundings (eg. white light will instantly put me off and give me a headache) - I bring my design practice to not just the work that we do but also to the space we inhabit.

I truly hate all the cliche’s and words like quirky or bean bags. Oops. But what I do love is the idea of a gallery or walkin through someone’s home and feeling like you get to know them as you see their photos and selected artworks or curios in their home.

And our studio has sort of come together as a result of these thoughts, ideas and interests. I’d love to share a few thoughts (over design) on how each piece came into the space and why we chose to surround ourselves with work of people we are inspired by in some way!!
