AFTERIMAGE, our most recent short film, is on YouTube (link in bio)! We started this project two and a half years ago with our star John Ververis and a small crew, and it’s been amazing to see people’s reactions to it at festivals, and we’re excited to finally be able to share it with you all.

The film is about Jesse, whose boyfriend disappears from their romantic getaway, leaving him searching for answers.

We don’t just want to post it to the void! We want to hear your thoughts and criticisms.

That’s a wrap on THE ITCH!

You’re looking at the whole team here: myself (writer/director/DP), all-star producer and stuntman Aidan Gomez, impossibly versatile lead actor Jacob Rannik, superhuman 1st AD and supporting actor Cade Harrison, dedicated production designer Belle Lee, genius costume designer Aidan Skye Jameson, mega-talented SFX artist (and general HMU) Lauren Ostanek, unbeatable production sound mixer John Roberson, diligent gaffer Jordan Werner, distinguished 2nd AD Connor Douglass, and Tan Perez, who in addition to being assistant camera, happens to be the greatest BTS photographer there ever was. And Marv, the picture car.

The idea for this film — a paranoid murderer trying not to be seen by the camera — came to me drip by drip over last spring and summer. After spending a year on my thesis, it was exciting and relieving to throw out every rule and expectation I felt I could afford to. We shot on the same camcorder I’ve had since high school. Risked getting kicked out of multiple locations we didn’t have permits for. Choreographed a stunt that was just for the microphone. Tiled my bathroom floor just to stain it with blood. Built a murder weapon in-camera. It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life.

This is the first project I’ve written and directed since graduating, and at a time when the film industry can seem bleak, it was moving and humbling to have such great people give such a great effort toward such a strange idea.

I’m so so so so excited about the footage we got. I’ve already started to edit because I truly can’t wait to share it with everyone. Till then, vive l’ow budget cinema.

We’re thrilled to announce that AFTERIMAGE has been accepted into the Nyack International Film Festival 2025 for its world premiere! It’s an honor to have this little film play on the big screen and we want to thank @niffestival for the opportunity. It’ll be screening the evening of April 1st at Hotel Nyack in Nyack, NY.

We are waiting to hear from the festival about ticketing details so if you’re interested in attending, stay tuned! Thank you so much to everyone who helped bring this project to life.
