Laura and I have been working on this story for years and we can’t wait to share it with you. It’s a timely, biting satire of media and the state of the American oligarchies with a pop-punk edge.

“FOC for Exploit #2 is 4/6”

After a few weeks of saying this, I’m realizing not everyone knows what this means.

Service journalism time! FOC = Final Order Cutoff, which is the last day a comic shop can order a comic before it goes to press. Pre-ordering a book with your shop is THE BEST way to make sure you get the comics you want.

You have until 4/6 to get your EXPLOIT #2 pre-orders in to your local comics shop. The first issue of Exploit sold out, so placing an order with your shop is the best way to make sure get a copy when it debuts on 4/29.

The action cranks alllllllll the way up in issue 2. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it. And I know saying “you don’t want to miss it” is perhaps the most trite thing an author would say…but believe me it’s true.

Exploit #1 is SOLD OUT!

We’re truly so grateful to everyone that checked out our first issue. I love issue 1, but the action really ratchets up in issue 2, which is out 4/29 (with FOC on 4/6).

How does writing about comics change reading them? And how do things change when you stop writing about them? I talked to Exploit’s co-writers (and recovering comics journalists) Laura Hudson and @timleong about just that in this week’s episode of Off Panel.
