Don’t miss out on the 2nd Annual Cross City Cypher Jam happening in the heart of Downtown Las Cruces! 🌞

CCC26 is a community-driven Hip-Hop arts experience rooted in the four elements: Breaking, Graffiti, DJing, and Emceeing. This event brings together dancers, DJs, visual artists, poets, and creatives from all across the Borderlands, Southwest, and Beyond!

THIS is where culture, creativity, and community intersect! From high-energy dance battles and live art to workshops and performances, Cross City Cypher is all about uplifting youth, building connections, and creating opportunities for the next generation to grow, express, and thrive via the avenue and spirit of Hip-Hop! 🔥🔥🔥

We are incredibly excited to welcome Montiel from Cuidad Juárez, MX! His passion and dedication to Hip-Hop dance Within and Beyond the Borderlands has made a powerful impact on us throughout the recent years, and we are so eager to host him here at The 2nd annual Cross City Cypher on June 5th‼️

Representing Kun Family & @tetrix.crew , Montiel has been making waves across Mexico, Europe, and the Southwest and West Coast of United States. Montiel and his crews have expertly showcased their ongoing mastery of various street dance styles with a strong foundation in Popping and Hip-Hop Freestyle 🔥

Named in honor of his grandfather: Carlos Montiel, through his mother’s maiden name, Montiel began dancing at 16 years old and has continued to carve out his own unique flow and style within the culture. Since then, he has gone on to become the @kardo.mexico_ National Champion in Hip-Hop and represented internationally at the world-renowned @worldkardo competition in Russia, competing in both the Open-Styles and Hip-Hop categories alongside other notable dancers and artists from over 140 countries 🏆🌍

Montiel is also deeply invested in growing the dance scene by organizing events and creating opportunities for others. He is the founder of the @dimensionsbattle , an event focused on promoting Hip-Hop battle culture throughout Ciudad Juárez and surrounding cities by encouraging stylish, creative, and expressive competition where dancers from different dimensions can showcase their talent, passion, discipline, and individuality. 💫

We truly admire the way Montiel continues to bridge communities through dance while helping elevate Hip-Hop culture both locally and internationally. Originally starting her Breaking journey in Chicago in 2001, Soula has dedicated over two decades to uplifting Hip Hop culture through organizing, teaching, mentoring, and community leadership. She is a proud member of @thechicagotribe , Co-Founder of the legendary Zia Queens Crew, and Co-owner of The Dancing Turtle Breaking Studio. @dancingturtleabq a space that continues to inspire and empower youth, young adults, and future generations through movement, self-expression and positive reinforcement.

Zia Queens has become one of the largest all-fem Breaking crews in the nation. Based out of Albuquerque, NM, the @ziaqueenscrew has helped create unique opportunities, representation, and visibility for women in the scene while continuing to push the culture forward with poise, strength, and elegance 👑💫

Soula has also helped organize and build iconic events such as City vs City,ILL-Noize, RedNoize, Old School Chicago Days, and She’s All Bad. These events have became global meeting grounds for dancers from all over the world. City vs City especially remains a legendary staple within the competitive Breaking scene and a testament to the deep roots and legacy of Chicago Tribe Crew, which has been cultivating Hip Hop culture for over 32 years. 🔥🌍

Beyond the dance world, Soula continues to create meaningful impact through her work as Director of Community Partnerships at Embracing Equity, where she advocates for anti-racist and equity-focused education and community initiatives.

Evidently, With OVER 45 battle wins throughout his competitive career and many years of experience performing internationally with the legendary Jabbawockeez, Jam has consistently proven why his versatility and dance vocabulary is mesmerizing to witness ‼️

His journey has also led him to collaborate with major brands and productions including Sony, Red Bull, Walmart, World of Dance, and The Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. 🌟
