2018 in a very abbreviated slideshow.
Growth, pain, exploration, discovery, happiness, sadness, lessons learned, laughs, friends, travel, and being home. Learning to spend more time with myself to be better for others. These photos are a very brief collection of images that don’t even begin to sum up what this year has meant to me. I’m so grateful for my family, friends, clients I’ve had the fortune to work with and everyone who has supported my career thus far. With so many people looking forward I want to take a minute to look back at this year, finish it strong and move into 2019 with everything we’ve learned along the way.

The recent cover of @surfer_magazine featured this shot of @jackjohnson by gun photographer @toddglaser the magazine also has a pretty amazing feature about Jack and what he is up to currently. Hit the link in the bio to head over to our blog to find out a little about it.

Honored and excited is an understatement.There was a time that we thought we wouldn’t see another print issue of SURFER Magazine again.For over 10 yrs I got to work with and be a part of the Bible of the sport and had a space to show and share images from all over the world.Shooting narratives for print was and still is far different than the digital medium that has taken over our world.When @jakehoward76 called a few months ago and said they were making a new print issue of Surfer I got so stoked.As much as I appreciate the immediacy and quantity of information that is available to us online, the feeling of holding, touching, and pacing of viewing a printed piece of a teams passion and vision will never get old to me.What @thomascampbellart did with his approach to designing the cover along with @iwouldput throughout the rest of the magazine has given this issue a timeless feeling.They ooze and have long celebrated the spirit and ethos of our love of not only wave riding, but art, design, photography and prose.
The images of @jackjohnson both on the cover and in his feature inside were made on a last minute strike mission with @kellyslater to one of the most remote waves that we’d ever been to.Kelly had seen the swell and organized us all to rally within a days notice.@indiestrader was there ready to share that excitement for the swell and froth as the two of them surfed by themselves straight off the plane and still to this day one of the best days of surfing I’ve ever seen.Jack even finished writing a song on the flight over titled “Sunsets for Somebody Else.” A trip for the books indeed.Also, how cool is it that Jack may be the very first human ever to have the cover of both Surfer Magazine and Rolling Stone?! In a world of digital media getting to see stories in print will never get old.
Thank you for making it happen and I hope you all go out to the newsstands and pick up a copy for yourselves so we can do it again!! PRINTS NOT DEAD!!!!

Working with @outerknown and @kellyslater is one of those full-circle moments that brings us back to our roots.
With @taylorsteele having given @aetherfilms one of our first real opportunities on Proximity, and @toddglaser long serving as a source of inspiration and guidance behind the lens, this project felt especially meaningful from the start. Over the years, collaborating with Kelly and John Moore from Outerknown has always felt deeply aligned.
It is always a privilege to work alongside people we look up to and even better to bring the group back together again.
Thank you, @Outerknown and the entire team.

Kelly x OuterKnown
It’s always an honor to get to work with friends and bring creative visions to life. Kelly’s new collection with @outerknown is built for the minimalist traveler. Someone who wants one piece for several occasions. As someone who’s spent a lot of time on the road keeping bags light is essential. We recently spent a few days on the Big Island exploring the coast by boat, swimming with Whale Sharks, running through lava fields, more swimming, playing golf and finishing the day at a beautiful corner of the mountain at the Eagles Nest BBQ’ing, playing music, and sharing stories late into the night!

Honored and humbled to be able to be a part of the team to capture the @padres City Connect film this year. The team did an incredible job of bringing the color, feeling and energy of our favorite city!
I was fortunate enough to be brought on as the water cinematographer under the direction of:
Director @tom_higdon
And crew…
@cristian__vaca
@armyfeffer @darryldean
My family and I have been Padres fan since before I was born. We would go to the games with my Mom, glove in hand as a young kid watching our favorite #19 Tony Gwynn crush home runs and do so much more for the city when he wasn't on the field. Very stoked to be able to capture a small snippet of our surf world in such an amazing city.
Enjoy a few BTS shots in-between motion takes.
LETS GO PADRES!!

Do you need to see someone’s face to have the image be considered a portrait? I don’t think you do, but some think otherwise.
These are all photos of friends with their board either before or right after we went surfing.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
