New bass day! This has been a dream of mine since I knew what Wal/Alembic basses were and filter preamp. It’s a custom @warmothguitar 5 string bass in a Z-body deluxe 5 shape.
Neck is 3A roasted Birdseye maple with ebony fretboard. Abalone side dots and gotoh tuners
Body is mahogany core with a 5A flamed maple cap.
Electronics are @turner.pickups 5 string Wal inspired pickups. They sound heavenly. The pre amp is the @lusithandevices double nfp special mk2. It sounds insanely great. Running it in 18 volts and it just sounds big!
Bass built by the luthiers at @rockinrobinhouston and they did an amazing job. Couldn’t thank you guys enough!

Now available, a P-shaped pickup with a bit of a twist...
Under the cover of each "half" of the typically split-coil design is actually a 3 blade sidewinder pickup.
The sound is bold, clear... plenty of low end thump and high end sparkle, with a very musical mid range character. Harmonics jump out of the thing, too.
A simple and short sound sample is available on my website. More to come soon, hopefully.
