Last night, @twinksy and I officially launched the Visionary Leadership Council of @TeachAAPI as co-chairs — a group of creators, tastemakers, and community leaders joining forces to help bring AAPI history and culture into education nationwide.
Tiff and I have been passionate about TeachAAPI’s mission since it launched in 2021 — but it feels more urgent than ever right now. The Supreme Court is revisiting birthright citizenship, a right that exists in part because of Asian immigrants who fought for it over 100 years ago. As Tiff pointed out last night, most of us have never heard that story, because we were never taught it. That’s exactly the gap @TeachAAPI exists to fill.
