How a NYU Film Graduate Built a Photography Practice Rooted in Empathy, Instinct, and a Love of Movies
Today, an article came out about my journey as a photographer, filmmaker, and creative.
(LIINK to FULL Article in BIO)
Reading it felt a little surreal because so much of what they touched on is exactly why I picked up a camera in the first place: empathy, instinct, movies, connection, and those quiet in-between moments that often say more than the obvious ones.
Photography has never just been about making something look good to me. It has always been about making people feel seen.
Maybe that comes from growing up not always feeling seen myself, or trying to figure out where I fit in. Maybe I fell in love with cinema because of the worlds films created — places I could escape into, feel something deeply, and understand life a little differently without needing everything explained. Maybe it comes from all the years of watching people, reading rooms, wanting to capture and share stories, chasing light, and trying to understand what makes a moment feel honest.
This article touches on a lot of pieces of my story — some creative, some personal, and some I’m still learning how to fully put into words.
Give it a read when you have a moment, and I’d really love to know what part resonates with you most.
Was there a line that felt familiar?
Something about creativity, empathy, cinema, or finding your place that connected?
Or maybe a part that made you think about your own creative road a little differently?
I’d honestly love to hear what you take from it.
Thank you to The Insider Weekly for the feature, and to everyone who has been part of this wild, beautiful, unpredictable creative road.

Boston gave us drama in the best way.
During Sony Creative Space on the Road | Boston, I kept coming back to the way the architecture was doing half the storytelling for us. The columns, the steps, the hard lines, the deep shadows — everything felt strong, graphic, and cinematic.
Then came that red.
That pop of color against all that stone changed the whole frame. It pulled the eye in, gave the image its heartbeat, and turned the scene from architecture into a moment.
For me, this is the fun of photography: finding the conversation between light and shadow, structure and movement, quiet tones and one bold color that refuses to whisper.

This was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and that idea of stepping into a world that feels a little surreal, a little broken, and still somehow full of wonder.
I’ve always been drawn to photography that feels cinematic — images that don’t just show a scene, but hint at a story. For me, that’s where imagination, light, and photography all come together. Light sets the mood, the frame builds the world, and the camera gives shape to something that first only existed in your mind.
That’s one of the things I love most about photography. It lets us create something that feels both real and dreamlike at the same time.
As Lewis Carroll wrote:
“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
That line feels pretty close to what it means to be an artist.

Just got back from the @nabshow where I spoke on a panel about burnout… and ironically, I’m feeling a little of it myself.
But I’m also energized.
After a year of meetings, the NAB Creator Council (including @twkeyes @nickisun @rodinflash @atomicmari ) officially announced the VIP Creator Program, a real step toward giving creators access to the same kind of membership and support long established for radio and TV.
It was incredible to see the turnout at the Creator Lab and the applications already coming in.
This group is genuinely committed to building something that’s for creators, by creators and that intention shows.
Comment “vip” and I’ll send you link with more info on the program and where to apply. ✍️

What happens when you take the polished demo out of the equation and create live?
That’s exactly what I’ll be doing at NAB Show in Built for the Moment: Live Capture to Delivery.
This workshop is all about the real creative process as it happens — shaping light, shooting tethered, making decisions on the fly, and building the final image in real time. No pre-cooked reveal. No overly rehearsed script. Just the actual rhythm of creation when the pressure is on and the ideas are moving fast.
I’ll be lighting with Harlowe, capturing live on my Sony a7 V, and editing straight into Lightroom Classic on an AMD-powered Lenovo system. It’s a full live workflow from capture to delivery, and a look at what it really takes for tools to support creativity in the moment, not slow it down.
If you’re a photographer, creator, storyteller, or just someone who loves seeing how the work really gets made, come join me.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
