Laney - 5 “future Taikwondo Master”. Absolute legends on their first day of school.
Last month we had the honor of cleaning the beach alongside Buena High School’s Marine Science class 🌊♻️
These students showed up ready to work, removed an incredible amount of trash from our coastline, and reminded us why education and real world experiences matter so much.
What hit me the hardest was learning how many teachers pay out of pocket just to give students opportunities like this.
That lit a fire in me.
Tidy Seas is working toward expanding our education and community outreach efforts so we can help create more opportunities for students to get out onto the beaches, experience nature firsthand, and understand how everyday actions impact our environment.
Because if students are learning about the ocean in a classroom, they deserve the opportunity to experience it in real life too.
