Unchalee Anantawat presents "Pedro teach me how to paint" at TARS Unlimited, Song Wat. The exhibition features a series of paintings, including "Our Reunion" and "Hernandez is my love," which explore the artist's collaborative process and relationship with Pedro Hernandez. The works incorporate car elements and airbrushing techniques to document shared memories and locations.

นิทรรศการนี้ทำให้เรานึกถึงเหล่าศิลปินในตำนานที่มักได้รับอิทธิพลการสร้างงานจากคนรัก หรือคนสำคัญสักคนในชีวิต และนิทรรศการ “Pedro teach me how to paint” ของอัญชลีเองก็คงเป็นเช่นเดียวกัน

“Pedro teach me how to paint” นิทรรศการเดี่ยวของ ‘ลี-อัญชลี อนันตวัฒน์’ @unchaleeeศิลปินและอาจารย์อาจารย์สาขาออกแบบนิเทศศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ที่ผลงานของเธอนอกจากจะเป็นงานสไตล์ painting เธอยังสนใจเรื่องการนำแอนิเมชันมาใช้กับการ drawing ด้วย และการมองความเป็นได้ใหม่ๆ ในการทำงานศิลปะของเธอ ทำให้นิทรรศการนี้เป็นอีกวิธีการทำงานที่น่าสนใจไม่น้อยเลย

“เปโดร ฉันไม่คิดเลยว่าคุณจะกลับมา” การกลับมาของคนรักของลีอาจมีอิทธิพลต่อการสร้างนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้ไม่น้อยเลย คนรักของลีอย่าง ‘เปโดร เฮอร์นันเดซ’ เป็นลูกครึ่งไต้หวัน เม็กซิกัน เขาหายไปช่วงระยะเวลาหนึ่ง ก่อนจะกลับมาไม่นานนี้ บทบาทของเขาในการสร้างสรรค์นิทรรศการครั้งนี้ยังไม่ชัดเจนนัก แต่ก็ดูเหมือนจะส่งผลบางอย่างไว้

“ฉันนึกว่าตัวเองคงจัดการทุกอย่างได้เพียงลำพัง แต่หลายอย่างกลับช้ากว่าปกติ หนักหนากว่าที่เคย แล้วคุณก็ปรากฏตัวขึ้นอีกครั้ง หรืออะไรที่ใกล้เคียงการมีอยู่ของคุณ การทำงานกับคุณให้ความรู้สึกที่แตกต่างไม่เหมือนเดิม ฉันไม่คอย ฉันไม่ข่มใจตัวเองเหมือนแต่ก่อน ฉันปล่อยให้ทุกสิ่งเป็นไป แม้ในช่วงที่ฉันเองก็ไม่แน่ใจว่ามันควรจะเกิดขึ้นหรือเปล่า”

The exhibition explores the return of her lover, Pedro Hernandez. Half-Taiwanese and half-Mexican, Pedro exists somewhere between memory, fiction, and emotional projection.

Through his recent reappearance, he reshapes the artist’s approach to painting, allowing the works to emerge through a process of surrender, intimacy, and uncertainty. Together, they form a body of paintings that feels unfamiliar even to the artist herself.

ความคิดถึงมันก้อแปรรูปไปล่ะมั้ง เป็นการเน้นย้ำเห็นสิ่งที่พ่อเป็นเสมอๆ ในตัวเรา เห็นทั้งว่า นิสัยนี้ก้อของเดที่กูคิดว่าควรแก้ให้ได้ หรือนิสัยนี่สินะ ที่ทำใฟ้กูเป็นแบบนี้แบบภาคภูมิใจ

เหตุการณ์วันที่พ่อตายนี่ กูยังออกแนวหลีกหนีไม่กลับไป revisit มากเท่าไหร่ ยังไม่พร้อมพาใจลงหลุมในการดีลกับมัน ออกเป็นแนวพอใจจะเลี้ยวไปคิด ก้อจะรีบพาตัวเองและใจไปคิดเรื่องอื่นและทำอย่างอื่นแทนดีกว่า ซึ่งเข้าใจว่าตามวิธีที่ถูกต้อง มันควรนั่งอยู่กับความเศร้าอันนี้แล้วให้มันผ่านตัวเราเองไป อยู่กับมันให้ได้แบบไม่หนี แต่กูใส่ลิ้นชักไว้ก่อยละกัน เดวกลับมาเมื่อพร้อม เร็วๆ นี้แหละ
