This Valentine’s Day at the Robinwood Community Recreation Center was more than an event it was a full transformation Thank you @usearttherapy @xsameria @noluvlost_alwayz100

Phara reciting her poem with so much conviction let me know…I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

The District Collection didn’t just decorate a space…
we activated it.

A recreation center that is rarely used became a living, breathing experience filled with music, art, and love.

The heat press station created memories. I watched vendors leave their tables to serve food.
So much compassion in the room.

And for me It sparked something foundational.

This reminded me that impact doesn’t always start with policy. Sometimes it starts with showing up with intention and turning an ordinary room into a moment that lives in someone’s heart.

Grateful to the team for allowing me to witness and contribute to something bigger than all of us.

This is what community looks like.
This is what love looks like.
And we’re just getting started.

SPRING REFRESH Clothing Upcycle and Art Swap event @thestew202 with @swapdc this weekend was a success! A beautiful community event with so much generosity….
@her_of_all_trades sewing patches and fixing clothes with Maureen, @usearttherapy printing and adding glam to pieces and @autumnspears.art sharing new work, @thingsjuliamade with the print demos, Nicky with the patches and spray paint….the list goes on!
