Volgens cartograaf Menno-Jan Kraak (Universiteit Twente) begonnen grenzen ooit als simpele lijnen om eigendom en belasting te regelen. Maar dat veranderde, met Napoleon Bonaparte werden grenzen steeds preciezer vastgelegd. Later trokken Europese landen grenzen over de hele wereld. De gevolgen daarvan zijn vandaag de dag nog steeds zichtbaar.

Onderzoeker Matthijs Noordzij van de Universiteit Twente deed hier onderzoek naar. 100 mensen droegen een week lang een stress-wearable, en een week zonder. Op groepsniveau bleek er geen verschil in stress.
Toch voelde het voor sommigen anders: een deel kreeg meer inzicht, terwijl anderen zich juist onrustiger voelden.
Hij onderzoekt hoe betrouwbaar deze metingen zijn, wat ze doen met hoe jij je voelt en of ze in de toekomst een rol kunnen spelen in de zorg.
