Learn about seal art. Seals have been used for centuries in many parts of the world but have gained popularity and even become necessities around multiple areas of Asia. Today, seals are still used in several countries and can hold the same legal power as a signature.

Join us on May 22, 1 pm for "Lasting Impressions: East Asian Seal Art Across Time and Media 2."

Recognized in the Educators category for her range of work supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in libraries, Aditi was appointed Visiting Program Officer for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) for the Canadian Association of Research Libraries in 2023. She is also co-founder of the BIPOC Faculty/Librarians Working Group, and the Chair of the Faculty Association’s Equity Committee, with both roles springing from her EDI work at UVic.

How has the War Childhood Museum approached archiving the war differently from other institutions?

How are archives developed for the Bosnian War of 1992-1995, when memories are contested, diverge, or remain politically charged? And what is the responsibility of the archive when working with survivors’ testimony and objects?

Join us for a presentation by Dr. Ajnura Akbaš (@warchildhood) and discussion moderated by Dr. Matt Huculak(@uviclibraries) and MA candidate Olivia Kozlovic (@universityofvictoria ) as they discuss community-engaged approaches to documenting and archiving the1992-1995 Bosnian War.

This is the third webinar in our Archiving with Care webinar series (2026), co-hosted with @public.humanities.hub.ubc.

Date: April 22, 2026
Time: 10:00am–11:30am PST

Register through the QR code or at the link in our bio.

Day in the life of Paloma: Finals season edition 📚

A balance of focus, support, and small moments to recharge☀️

While a sweet treat from BiblioCafe and some sunshine in the quad help her get through the day, UVic resources, like booking study spaces in the library and attending exam review sessions at the Math & Stats Centre, make finals season a little more manageable.

Good luck on your exams & finals! 🙌

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
