Vernard Gilmore presents, The La Verdad Experience Workshop, an event curated and created to enhance body alignment and maintenance for dancers of all levels. Mr. Gilmore is a former 3 decade member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The session will include floor barre, movement studies from the Lester Horton technique and choreography.

28 Years of Excellence!!!

Last night was the end of an era for me. I took @vern93 to his first @alvinailey performance when we were 16 years old in Chicago.

I didn’t know then that he would go on to craft a legendary, decades spanning career with The Ailey Organization. But, a spark was lit in him that night as teenagers, and he knew! He believed!

From auditioning for the Summer Program together to watching him join Ailey II to seeing him ascend to become a member of one of the quintessential dance companies on earth - it has been a joy, privilege and proud honor to watch you SOAR, Vernard.

Your dedication to excellence is unmatched. You have thrilled audiences across the globe for THREE DECADES!!! It has been remarkable and I’m so proud of you!!!

I know this next chapter will be filled with even more milestones of excellence because that’s just what you do.

But, for now, I’m singing this song to YOU! Bravo my dearest! I love you deep, deep. Thanks for letting me be a part of the ride!!

The sky is just the beginning! Let’s GO!
