DC for BREMBO’s 50th Anniversary
Months in the works. This piece was a wild ride. Really pushed myself technically. Every shot has some sort of post intervention had to balance mechanical accuracy with the my usual extreme stylization. Was really locked in for months trying to figure out which direction I could take this.

Also featuring some @f1lasvegas moments captured from the paddock club with an iPhone and a small anamorphic lens. Was in town on another gig and decided to go in last minute and In between nose bleeds and a huge amount of painkillers (I had a very high fever) I bounced around the various vantage points to try and get some stuff.

Clearly @topazlabs came in super handy as I upscaled some stills a million times to get those two extreme close ups on the car and animated with @higgsfield.ai

This what happens when you’re lucky enough to be a part and have the trust of two most loving families/reps @spy_films and @steptstudios.
A technical demonstration that meets unresolved, recurring images and visual fixations.

@rinalipa @garrettwareing I feel like I know you so well having edited you for so long. Not a lot of people will understand the affection that an editor can feel.

When @garrettwareing and @rinalipa sat at the table for the first time, I asked to start with the written lines and then continue improvising until I’d call “cut”.
Only one bite of improv made the cut but still this exercise was preparatory for both myself and the actors to finding out what this was. It was so fascinating to see the thinking process behind the choices of two actors that with absolutely no prep, no rehearsals and no context, where asked to perform a script that made little to no sense to them.

Very grateful for EPs and visionary leaders @nickmartini @mtrulli1 for your trust and support and never ending, relentless work.

@topazlabs keeps improving every day.
From video and bloom to Gigapixel, these tools are no longer just utilities they’ve become new colors and brushes in the toolbox.

A lot of my workflow happens alone: locked in a room, head down, working for long stretches without feedback. In that context, the interpretive nature of certain AI tools has started to feel like having a set of fresh eyes on demand, something coming from outside of me, while I remain fully in control.

That balance is where tools like #Astra become truly interesting.
