I fell in love with Cannonball back in 2023 when I presented Cheetah Banks at Fidget Space and I’ve been back every year since with new shows and now also as a producer. Looking forward to continuing to support artists making challenging and meaningful work across, in, around, and outside theater, dance, performance, drag, circus, clown, multimedia, interdisciplinary, and immersive practices.

Vanessa Kamp (Washington DC, 1969) és unx artistx establertx a Barcelona. Amb formació en lingüística, belles arts, esport, i art tèxtil, el seu treball és desenfrenat, experimental i intens. Treballa amb dansa improvisada, moviment, clown, objectes, tecnologia analògica i personatges ancorats en l’acció, la percepció i la metàfora, abordant implícitament temes de poder, identitat, i cos.

Showcase at BCN Studio February 22

Bold, sensitive, silly, dumb, vulnerable, outrageous, we will be all of these things as we work with traditional and expanded clowning techniques and approaches to individual and group clown work. By honing vocabularies of physicality, clown intelligence, and a sense of complicité we will create a space of exploration and discovery for creating new, unique clown material. Part technique workshop, part character creation lab this is a space to deepen your clown practice!
