Need to shoot at 5 locations in a day? Try 12.
For Hindsight, we filmed 12 separate locations in a single day inside the V Studio at Film Soho - including a full set of car scenes.
Normally, that would mean multiple moves, waiting on light, and a lot of lost time in between setups. Instead, everything was controlled and ready to go (a pre-light day was essential in this regard), which meant the team could move straight from one scene (and one digital environment) to the next without stopping.
It’s where virtual production really comes into its own. Not just creatively, but practically.
Fewer delays, tighter schedules, and more time spent actually shooting.
A good example of what’s possible when everything is in one place.

Time for our weekly Myth Buster!
Our VP team often find themselves in the position where they have to dispel myths when it comes to the reality of a virtual production approach.
As such, this is the first in our Myth Buster series, so let’s get into it…
MYTH #1:
Filming on a volume stage is more expensive than shooting on location
We’re not going to lie to you, that is sometimes the case, but you would be surprised how often a VP approach can be budget neutral or even represent an opportunity to bring costs down.
Even though on face value virtual production shooting costs can seem hefty, we regularly find ourselves reminding productions that there are a number of savings to be made in other areas, which help balance out the costs when shooting on a volume. This can even mean that many logistical challenges that productions face are solved with a VP workflow, and this does not necessarily equate to an increase in either budget or creative compromise.
We find ourselves reminding production to keep in mind many of these following cost savings when filming on a volume stage:
Think about Location costs, marshals, Crowd control, Security, Dealing with councils and costs associated, parking, you get the picture.
Then there’s the question of lighting and kit:
As the LED wall itself is a light source, we remind productions to take this into consideration when drafting kit lists. Along with a smaller kit list lighting and art department crews are often smaller too.
The biggest and most obvious savings opportunity is of course travel and accommodation. The magic of virtual production is that you can be in Moscow in the morning and Aberdeen in the afternoon without the unit move.
Ofcourse, every shoot is unique and we are more than happy to work with our clients so they understand all of these potential opportunities when filming at the V Studio at Film Soho. So don’t be afraid to reach out or check out our website in bio for more info!

“When done correctly, virtual production not only solves logistical problems, but also provides a more liberated canvas on which to paint with light and to craft gorgeous cinematic images,” says V Studio VP supervisor and head of studio Kate Phibbs.
“LED volume technology, in addition to creating an immersive, photorealistic environment, is a really useful lighting tool that yields interactive lighting and reflections in real time.”
Nestled in the heart of Soho, the V Studio at Film Soho is a space where creativity leads and the technology quietly enables the creation of gorgeous images by being able to control both the light and the location, as evidenced in the production of new short film Hindsight.

“We’ve integrated precise control of the image-based lighting and the LED wall servers, using Assimilate to control AirLux DMX fixtures combined with Kino Flo Mimik arrays, so any section of the backdrop can easily be mapped onto the lights. We’ve also set up precise colour adjustment control to dial in black levels and temperature on the LED wall.”
Film Soho’s new V Studio leverages the Mimik IBL system to help filmmakers create the most cinematic images possible.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
