'Saturn, Return' is a film about the process of letting go of parts of yourself that are no longer you, and were never you to begin with. Put differently, it is about letting go of parts of me that are no longer me, and were never me to begin with. I say you, because this is a universal experience. I say me because the process had to happen to me in order for me to have the language for it.

Gerd Rothmann, a goldsmith who I very much admire, designed this earring. It is perfect for the following reasons: 1. It has the perfect combination of hard and soft lines. 2. It both contains the shape of the ear, and protrudes away from it, elongating the ear much like a beautiful shoe or pair of well fitted pants would. 3. It perfectly adheres to the rule of thirds. 4. It makes me want to quit my job, because there is truly no point in attempting to make a better earring, when clearly, the perfect earring already exists. Just kidding, but seriously - this earring kills me, in the way a healthy artistic rivalry spurs you to work harder than you ever would. Thank you Gerd Rothmann for making me think deeply about ears, shapes and elongation.

Dearly beloved, it is a sweet sadness to post the very last of this series of five films. So sensual, so intimate, so lovingly created.

I feel touched by the creative minds of every individual who contributed to these works. Thank you for sharing your talents with @waif_things.
