We are pleased to announce theopening of “EROS AND ASHES”, an exhibition by Palina Adriana and Yulia Bas, on May 15th at 6:00 PM at @spaziosassetti, Florence.

Palina Adriana moved from fashion design between London, Paris, and New York into painting, developing a visual language that blends abstraction and figuration through expressive gestures and realistic elements. Based in Florence since 2021, she has been exhibiting between Paris and Zurich since 2024.

Yulia Bas, after a successful career in architecture and yacht design between Italy and Spain, returned to art and now works from Barcelona. Her practice has been presented internationally, including collaborations with Christie’s London and major art fairs, with works held in private collections worldwide.

The works of two artists emerge from moments of rupture and transformation. Through painting, both artists explore fragmentation, renewal, and the continuous reshaping of identity between emotional tension and new forms of expression.

Aria Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of HUNTING SHADOWS, a solo exhibition by Veljko Vučković , on Friday, April 24 at 7:00 PM at Borgo Santi Apostoli 40r. The exhibition is curated and organized in collaboration with @why_nat_projects .

According to the curator, Nataša Radojević, the exhibition brings together a new body of work, marking a significant shift in both scale and conceptual scope within Vučković’s painterly practice.

While politically engaged European cinema of the 1960s and 1970s remains a key reference, the new works also draw on film noir and films gris, expanding the visual and atmospheric range of the paintings. The exhibition also maintains a dialogue with Italian cinema, including crime films, creating a resonance between the works and their presentation context.

These influences introduce new motifs and narrative tensions while sustaining the artist’s ongoing exploration of power, ambiguity, and image construction.

Predrag Popara’s Solo Show ‘Topologies of the Unseen’ opens on Thursday, April 2, at 7 PM, at Krunska 73, Belgrade. The exhibition is organized in collaboration between WHY NAT Projects and the CMS Collection.

The show will feature around ten works from @poparapredrag latest series (2022–2026), with a focus on monumental formats. These works continue the artist’s exploration of complex relationships between abstraction, materiality, and elemental forces. Popara’s paintings do not function as representations but as events—a space where energy accumulates, transforms, and establishes a dialogue with the viewer.
His works do not depict landscapes in a traditional sense; rather, they construct fluid, imaginary systems in which water, air, earth, and fire intersect, generating intricate relationships between movement and stability, chaos and order. Through layered textures, emphatic gestures, and intense chromatic contrasts, Popara articulates liminal states—zones between emergence and disappearance, formation and dissolution. Each surface carries traces of the performative act, recording the process of creation and creating a dynamic, multi-layered visual experience.
Central to Popara’s practice is the relationship between humans and nature. In his work, nature is neither illustrative nor nostalgic; it is an immanent framework of existence. The series Nature as Universal Energy Form reflects contemporary instability—ecological, social, psychological, and existential—while monumental formats amplify both the physical and emotional impact. The viewer becomes an active participant, engaging with the process, perception, and contemplation that Popara’s paintings encourage, reconnecting with elemental forces that shape both nature and human experience.
Popara redefines painting as a living, processual system—not merely a reflection of the world, but an extension of it. Color, gesture, and material in his compositions create a dialogue between the visible and invisible, chaos and order, transient and enduring, while evoking both introspective and universal dimensions.
