The squads have changed since we started in 2010, but the VNTC tradition hasn’t.

This is Lachie’s AAU team, The Academy. They are a close-knit group of boys from Ann Arbor and Saline who have stuck together with their same coaches for three years. This past weekend they played a big tournament in Grand Rapids where they took 2nd. They battled in the championship game against a super team comprised of the state’s top “ranked” players, from different teams. The 6th grade center of the opposing team was dunking!
Our coaches haven’t taken shortcuts to winning. They are focused on long-term development—teaching man defensive principles when most teams full court press and play zone, which can be cheat codes at the youth level.
They are now a top 5 team in the state, but they didn’t start that way. Every year they’ve improved, we’re really proud of Lachie and how hard he’s worked and how much this group pushes each other. The boys all have big goals in the sport — and fun fact: 9 of the players have parents who played college/professional sports, so the competitive spirit definitely runs deep.
The boys are running a March Madness Squares fundraiser to help cover tournament cost for their next season, and they’d love your support.
How it works:
▪️ 100 squares available
▪️ $25 per square
▪️ Numbers are randomly assigned after the board fills
▪️ Winners are determined by the last digit of each team’s score
▪️ $1,200 paid out during the tournament
▪️ $1,300 goes to support the team
📄 The completed square board will be shared two days before each round so everyone can track their squares.
If you’d like to support the boys, grab a square (or a few) by sending $25 per square via Venmo to @O3Sportstraining and include “6th Grade Academy” in the notes.
Thanks for supporting this great group of boys — and hopefully you’ll have a winning square during March Madness!
How's your NBA knowledge?
Wes knows ball thanks to his 7 year old big bro, Darcy, who is obsessed.

More nervous for @dani.joness heat and final this weekend than for any of my own races!5th after being knocked over by food poisoning was an amazing performance.
Dani came to Ann Arbor in December to be coached by @willis.sierra and Ron, and I couldn't be more impressed with how they have worked together. Can't wait to see how Dani goes with a full Fall of base training under their watch.
Great job, Dani, AND I'm also proud of my amazing wife. She's a much better coach than I could ever dream to be.

The all-our-parents-ran-D1-except-Sierra 3on3 squad took 2nd place at the Y middle school tournement.Took a 200 pound bearded 8th grader to keep them from the top spot 👀
So great to reconnect with former Michigan teammates Seth and Katie Waits (Erdman) and have our sons play hoops together.
Big win over Swish from Grand Rapids, who are one of the top 3 teams in Michigan.
The boys have improved so much thanks to their dedicated coaches! No shortcuts (no relying zone/press defence), and now they're starting to reap the rewards.
Thanks Coaches! (Christine and Adam Trumpour)

Proud watching Lachie put together a complete game today --lockdown defense, shooting smoothly over the zone, made all his freethrows, and fed his forwards some easy layups. My favorite play of all was a nice charge he drew to stop a fast break. Ofcourse plenty of mistakes too!
Most importantly, his team easily beat their rivals, who they couldnt beat last year. They've grown a lot, and learned a ton from their experienced coaches.Nice job, boys.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
