The Morning of the Nikkah Part 2

I am one of those girls that have dreamt of their wedding their whole life, that have had a Pinterest board of dresses, photography, venues, flowers, and everything in between way before I was legally allowed to get married.
When I was a child, my mom bought me veiling material and sewed me a veil onto a comb or headband so I could play ‘bride bride’ around the house.

So this morning was so incredibly special. I had my dream dress (one of them), my dream makeup artist, my hairdresser of 10+ years did my hair as a wedding gift, my bridesmaids showed up and were getting ready in my childhood bedroom. Layla (who had just come back from her honeymoon) showed up to just sit with me and feed me muesli while I got all glammed up.

I just sat there for the first time in months, with nothing to plan, nothing to stress about, and we all talked about what we were most excited for, what felt surreal, what felt unexpected.

It was the perfect morning.
