Our long-term agenda lays out three pathways that EBASE will follow to realize our transformative vision: Housing is a Human Right, Worker Power & Liberation, and Community Governance. Our pathways will weave together and overlap over time to reflect the intersectionality of these issues in the lives of East Bay residents. In our journey, we will rely on our strategies, values, and commitments to guide and orient us. We know the fights we take on and the power we build today will be the stepping stones for structural transformation in this multigenerational journey toward justice and liberation.

Volunteer this Saturday, 5/16 from 10am -2 pm with Black Workers United! EBASE has launched an organizing initiative, Black Workers United, to build power with Black workers in the East Bay, who have systematically been shut out of opportunity. Right now, we are talking to Black workers in West Oakland to see what folks think aboutCostco - and more jobs - potentially coming to Oakland.

We are bringing the people's housing crisis to the forefront of the California governor candidate's forum.

While California’s candidates for Governor gather to discuss housing, we are still waiting for REAL solutions to the affordability crisis. The People’s Housing Crisis Forum is a community-led response, a space where tenants, unhoused residents, and advocates will set the agenda for California.

Join us THIS FRIDAY, May 8, in Oakland.@housingnowca @eastbayhousingorganizations @oaklandtenantsunion @apenaction @workingeastbay

Comment "PEOPLE" below and we will send you the registration link.

Last Friday we witnessed a powerful display of solidarity!

From New York to Chicago to St. Louis to Los Angeles, our network joined hundreds of thousands of people who took collective action to resist authoritarianism and the billionaire agenda, and to unite around a shared vision of the world we deserve:

✨ Homes for all
✨ Quality healthcare when we need it
✨ Vibrant and thriving communities
✨ The power and freedom to shape our futures!

This was a crucial test of our strength and discipline, and necessary practice for what we may need to do again and again in the coming months.

This will be a decades-long fight not only to beat back authoritarianism right here and now, but to change the conditions that allowed it to arise at all.

This May Day showed how ready our communities are to wield their power 💪✊♥️

On May Day, it was crucial to show up and say – enough is enough, we are powerful together and we refuse to stay silent as our loved ones, fellow workers, immigrant neighbors, and communities of color, are threatened and harmed by this federal government sold out to corporations and billionaires.

EBASE team members were proud to join people around the Bay and country on May Day to fight back by building the muscle for mass disruption and economic noncooperation. From supporting the call for no ICE at SFO and SFO workers’ demands for better wages and working conditions, to providing worker rights information at the Oakland Sin Fronteras Resource Fair, to marching with thousands of people alongside members of our tenant leadership institute at the Sin Fronteras march, we appreciated coming together with other workers to resist and show our collective power.

This fight is not only about resisting Trump’s actions, it is about building a future where all working class communities are all cared for, safe, and able to live full lives. We must keep the momentum going and keep coming together to resist, care for our community members, flex our civic power, and build towards a brightfuture for all workers!

Oakland Is a Worker Town

Oakland’s history and strength are built by workers who are the backbone of the Town and central to our culture, economy, and identity. On International Workers’ Day and every day, we stand in solidarity with people and movements for economic justice. We honor Oakland’s workers, stand with them, and recommit to building a city where every worker can thrive.

Big respect to EBASE for showing up strong this week in support of worker rights across the East Bay.

From organizing on the ground to helping lift up the voices of workers, their leadership continues to push forward what real economic and racial justice looks like in action.

Shoutout to everyone who gathered at Oakland City Hall this Wednesday alongside Barbara Lee and other powerful speakers—holding it down and making it clear that our communities deserve dignity, protection, and opportunity.

On this International Workers’ Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and collective power of workers everywhere. The movement is alive—and we’re building toward something bigger. ✊🏽🔥

Yesterday, workers, labor leaders, community organizations, and Mayor Barbara Lee gathered at Oakland City Hall for the “Oakland Is a Worker Town” Press Conference, to affirm and celebrate that workers are the backbone of Oakland’s economy, culture, and future. During this event, workers spoke about the realities they face on the job, including wage theft, unsafe working conditions, and ongoing efforts to organize for better pay and protections.

EBASE was proud to hold this event with other worker organizations, including @streetlevelhealthproject, @centro_legaldelaraza, @chineseprogressiveassociation, @seiu_usww, @uniteherel2, @oakland_ea, @seiu1021, Black Workers United, @mujeresunidasyactivas, and @allofusornone, ahead of International Workers’ Day on May 1. We all brought together day laborers, airport workers, hotel workers, care workers, educators, and service workers to uplift the power of organizing and demand stronger protections, enforcement, and investment in Oakland’s working class. Thank you to @mayorbarbaralee who stood alongside labor leaders and frontline workers in support of worker justice.

As the Mayor said “We have made important progress in Oakland by passing strong labor protections, but passing laws is not enough. We must ensure those laws are enforced so that no worker is subjected to wage theft, unsafe conditions, or exploitation. Workers deserve not just rights on paper, but justice in practice.”

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
