π βOur Resting Heartsβ, my 4-Track EP on Time Passages is finally out.
π Each track has so much lore and story behind it. πΈKitty Pimms - a subtle homage to Bryan Fullerβs whimsical Pushing Daisies series, where a crush on Anna Friel and a penchant for a fantastical tragic romance arc have it locked forever in my heart π».
πΊ Reruns of Gerry Andersonβs diabolically violent 70s children series Captain Scarlet, where puppets commit insane acts of terror on a weekly basis. The spectral voice of βThe Mysteronsβ became the talkbox bass in βCaptain Blackβ, a tribute to the show's coldest antagonist π₯Ά.Β
π But so much of the joy in releasing dance music comes from seeing the reaction when it projects out into an audience. Iβve been playing Lost & Misshapen every chance I get, and everytime its uniquely textural build up turns the dance floor into a Dali painting π« .
π And when Binh drops "This Fawning" as his closer? The dance floor breaks. Tears flow. I have never received so many DMs about a single track causing such an outpouring of emotion. To connect with you all like this is a deep privilege. I hope this music finds you at the exact right moment, and that life keeps fueling these works of intent βοΈ.
π Endless thanks to Binh, Arianna, Iuno, Giuseppe & the extended Time Passages crew for the support. TP31 is available in select vinyl stores π.

π§ On the eve of my @timepassagesrecordings release I wanted to highlight this mix I did for @adrianromanmusichigh-art exhibit themed outlet @unusual.way
π It's a collection of tracks, engineered for the biggest arenas about grief, loss, love, hope & anger. Featuring just @channanhanif and I. It may be the only way to hear some of these tracks online for a long time.
β€οΈ The thought and intention that Adrian puts into his output is obviously something that resonates with me. From the exquisite artwork of his carefully produced releases to the theming of his mix series as a gallery exhibition πΌοΈπ.
π Please let me know your favs.

Intent is often described as the quiet force that elevates creative work into something enduring. In the case of @worksofintent, this principle becomes central: a singular vision dedicated to reimagining the scale of the βbig room,β the arena, and the mainstage as spaces capable of holding unexpectedly intimate and deeply human emotion.
His practice has attracted the attention of seasoned figures within the electronic music landscape, drawn to an approach that gently dismantles established genre conventions while restoring a sense of musical sensitivity and emotional depth. The resulting works resist easy replication or categorization, existing instead as distinct, carefully constructed experiences.
Recent contributions include a new release on βCOD3 QR,β the label founded by Laurent Garnier, which serves as a recurring platform for his output. Alongside this, a four-track EP has been issued on Binhβs vinyl-only imprint βTime Passages.β Forthcoming projects extend this trajectory, including a collaboration with the South Asian diaspora collective Indo Warehouse, as well as a series of pop reinterpretations scheduled for release on the enigmatic βEmotional Weaponry,β curated by Vassily MΓΆnchengladbach.

π Huge love to the power couple @kaybarton.official & @evaunfug for inviting me to talk and play music at @fluccvienna a few weeks ago. π« The experience of speaking to so many open souls across the dancefloor before and after the set speaks volumes about the sort of party they've curated.
1οΈβ£π€ͺ Realising I've spent the equivalent of 140+ days in a piece of software I don't recommend to anyone.
2οΈβ£π€³ Needed to get a selfie with this chap. His face was plastered all over the gaff.
3οΈβ£π Post-promoter dinner with my evening guides who showed me Vienna's true underground. Smokey back rooms and superb techno.
4οΈβ£π A reminder that @roccorodamaal makes beautiful, sexy music for the dancefloor.
5οΈβ£π Contrast is key, not only in music, but in life.
β¨ Love also to: @awkwardendeavor for not only a stellar set but also bringing a beautiful vibey crew of people along. β³@pascoberma for the excellent workshop despite the limited time. π Kay for knocking his closing set out of the park and keeping us glued to the floor till the end.
πΊ You can find the full talk on @trendwaende.club YouTube channel.

Weβre beyond happy to welcome Roshan Chauhan aka Works Of Intent to the family.
Feels like the beginning of a long, dramatic love story.

π€π What is a "Big Room"? π₯At what specific literage can it be said that a room becomes a "Big Room"? πͺ If a Big Room track is a played in a small room does it become a small room track? πͺ If a big room enters a small room is it safe?
π I attempt to find the answers to these deeply concerning questions and many others on the 14th of March, in the intellectual home of Sigmund Freud.
π£οΈ I think Freud would say "Youβre not asking about rooms Rosh. Youβre asking about expansion, containment, and release." At which point I would tell him to find a private room for his own expansion, release and containment, ideally in that order. π¦

Join me for a masterclass in Big Room belters both of the mind and the body at @fluccvienna on Saturday 14th March in Vienna alongside @pascoberma @awkwardendeavor & @kaybarton.officialοΏ½οΏ½

βοΈ I'm back after a 2 month+ stint in India to avoid the crap UK weather and festive "cheer". I didn't expect to make so many friends and memories while doing it π₯Ή

π Huge love to @nidadadj @og.shez @amnap_records @strangrindelhi & @film011 for the invitations to play and have fun with it π

π Thanks to @djjohndigweed aka J Diggers aka Big John for supporting Erase It on @cod3qr through all of 2025 and including it in his "Best of 2025" round up.
π This year marks 10 years since my first release. A vinyl only single co-funded by @guppyslim and distributed through @rubadubgla thanks to some help from @pariah_uk & @richard_chater
β¨ It got a boomkat review, found support across the continent through @youngmarco @dj_seinfeld @fabriziomammarella & many more. It sold out.
πΈ After trying a lot of things in music, including producing bands it was the clearest sign yet, that maybe I should just do my own thing instead.
πΈ Swipe for a 2016 photo of moi.

In September of last year, I was interviewed for a David Olusoga documentary "Empire". I was shortlisted after a researcher discovered my essay on the migration of my parents, the history of indentured servitude, social engineering in the colonies, and how these forces impact the undercurrent of racialised thought in modern-day Britain. Titled "A Time For Change," it also marked the beginning of "Works Of Intent".
The three-part series is a sprawling look at the historical earthquake that is the British Empire. While limited by both time and BBC sensibilities in connecting the past with the now, its focus is on correcting myths that still plague modern-day Britain about its past and uncovering stories that are largely forgotten.
As anyone who has dipped their toe into this research knows, the depth of this topic is abyssal. My grandfather grew up in the settler colonial state of Northern Rhodesia, and even though he knew independence would make life materially worse for himself and his family, forcing him to leave, he still secretly funded the ANC. We (the diaspora) are descendants of opportunists, but that shouldn't come at such a great cost to others.
All settler states are doomed to fail. They are built on racial myths that require immense resources, social engineering projects, and violence to maintain.
In 2024, I wrote another essay. A critical examination of White Patriarchy as a global structure, connecting genocide in Gaza and the Sahel, climate anxiety in the West, Islamophobia and unspoken race discourse. It is a behemoth of a piece that - aside from some university lecturers and close friends, I doubt will ever see the light of day. Maybe parts of it will be the blueprint for whatever comes after "Works Of Intent"...
Swipe to see David pipe up. My screen time, extracts from "A Time For Change" + family photos from Zambia & A clip from the 2014 film "Concerning Violence".

In September of last year, I was interviewed for a David Olusoga documentary "Empire".
