Yearbook’s first event took place last year at @bica_sd (technically 11/23/24). We’re incredibly grateful for a year of unforgettable moments and connections. Since then we were able to launch Yearbook Vol. 1 with 30+ Artists, hosted multiple art shows, galleries and photo walks in SD and SF.

We hope to continue to build a platform for artist to come together and celebrate art, friendships and creativity. Looking forward for another year of growth and Yearbook Vol. 2….

In November 2024, @yearbookcreative was conceptualized as a structureless creative organism that defies hierarchy, self-limiting artistic identities, and strict job descriptions. Conceived at @bica_sd on Adams, it borrows from the appeal that cafes, like art spaces, can function as gathering holes for misfits and makers alike. Rather than mandating performance, it offers creatives from all walks of life the option to observe, engage, or simply be themselves.
An openness that allows the collective to function as both an archive and an incubator, cataloguing a pluralist culture while still nurturing the conditions for fresh takes on existing art forms.The result is a community-first collective that deters gatekeeping and neutralizes imposter syndrome in favor of an open-door policy to foster trust and skill-sharing, regardless of follower count and portfolio length.
