POEM FOR MY DAUGHTER

Work-in-progress sharing at @omnibustheatre 🏳️‍🌈

A new performance poem that shines a light on the unknown elements of queer parenthood. Blending comedy, fantasy and spoken-word, the piece asks: can we teach lessons we haven’t yet learned ourselves?

‘Poem for my Daughter’ explores protection and power when it comes to raising a child in our current climate, particularly following the ‘Me Too’ movement.  

It’s queer, it’s new, is it a really long poem? Is it a play? Who knows? It’s me, so both. But it’s been in the works for over a year now, so it’s time to share.
