WE ARE GOING TO SUNDANCE!!!!

BIRDIE, a short film by @praise_odg, is headed to the 2026 #SundanceFilmFestival as part of the Short Film Program.

BIRDIE is a coming-of-age film about a 16-year-old Nigerian refugee in 1970s Virginia trying to keep her family together. Big love to the entire cast & crew who carried this film with so much care. We’ve poured so much love into it, I’m grateful we’ve made it this far 🫂

Octopus Laundry was a personal passion project. It was about longing for a place and a feeling. A chase for youthful carelessness. Initially, it started as an idea for a photoshoot, but later I thought “what if I brought a piece of a place for people to experience?”. Ultimately, that’s what I am good at.

And there I was, playing with flex rubber, sculpting and mold-making for over a month. It was an endless trial and error, but I constantly felt child-like sense of joy.
