It describes the journey I have embarked upon as a person and as an artist — carrying both french and chilean family heritages — traces of exile, resistance,ideals of the past and love stories over the years. First too bashful, I tried to preserve the images of the one I loved with over-printing and wax, hiding and masking them to the world. Slowly assuming my role and my responsibility I want to show them now fully illuminated — as they are. The photographic medium is my way to communicate with them but also to try to express these intangible poetic feelings and desires I have. By opening this book you open a space of intimacy, my models were my first audience, now shared with the world.
