Toki-No-Wa ; Harmony of Time brings together new works by Miwa Neishi in conversation with historic sculptures by Toshiko Takaezu. Neishi’s relationship to Takaezu is both personal and pedagogical—formed through lineage, study, and lived proximity to Takaezu’s legacy. Together, their works create a beautiful, meditative dialogue between past and present, tradition and transformation.

We will host an artist talk between Miwa and art historian Joe Tokumasu Field on Friday at 5:30pm. Please come by!

@seanyunci and I first visited Nianxin’s studio at SVA 3 years ago. Every painting, project, and show that Nianxin has done since has kept me on my toes, surprising and startling me at every turn. This show is no different. I’m so thrilled to present Nianxin’s first solo with us titled “Neon Haze”, a dazzling, shadowy, alien realm where translucent mollusks dance in an infinite disco.

We will also host an ACTUAL disco party on October 24 from 7–10pm, with drinks designed by Nianxin and inspired by the paintings. Come dance 🕺🏻🪩🐚
