Just had the most beautiful day! I finished painting the mural on the Kwikfit shutter and then we had a little celebration!

All of the animals on here were winners of our competition to raise money for @macmillancancer and the owners came along to see it finished.

We raised £1420 and made 5 animals famous along the way..

A Sri Yantra is a Meditation Tool: Meditating on the Sri Yantra is believed to enhance awareness, create a protective aura, and aid in achieving inner peace and clarity.

Sri Yantra Structure
9 Triangles: 4 Shiva (upward) and 5 Shakti (downward) triangles.
Concentric Circles: Represent the three levels of existence (physical, mental, spiritual).
Lotus Petals: Represent the surrounding energy fields.

I was really moved by the story of Punch the Monkey this week, it really hit home for me- these days we are being told that art is an "extra", a "hobby" - even that artists will be replaced by A.I.

This year I've decided to choose my art over and over again, regardless of who likes it or how much worse it looks compared to this person or that person, or even that robot who made it in 2 seconds for no money.

Just like Punch hanging onto his manky old teddy, I'm hanging onto my art, coz it matters, for no other reason than it makes me feel free and it reminds me that I am alive, I am human and I am flawed. It's my happy place!
