Chicago women's sports fans!! Save the date! The EJ Lee film team is partnering with @babesinchicago for our first sneak preview event on Sun, Nov 9th from 5-8pm CST.

Our documentary in progress is all about EJ Lee, known as the "Korean Magic Johnson of NCAA women's basketball" - whose historic playing career pre-dated the WNBA. Now, we follow her as she pursues her dream of becoming an NCAA head coach against the odds.

This intimate evening will feature:

Last month, @ejleesmith2 was able to speak on the NBA/WNBA panel about her journey and the documentary to an audience full of AAPI kids who are a part of @apexforyouth — an incredible NYC organization that serves Asian and immigrant youth with mentorship, athletic programs, college & career guidance, and much more. This was the first impact campaign event for “EJ LEE: ALL-AMERICAN” and we’ll plan for many more events like this as we get closer to the release.

Humboldt Park Solidarity Network: The Humboldt Park Solidarity Network (HPSN) is a mutual aid group whose main project is the Casa Hernandez Community Space on North Avenue in Humboldt Park, Chicago. Casa Hernandez hosts a free store, offering neighbors a welcoming place to “shop” around for clothes, food, housewares, and more. Casa Hernandez also hosts art shows, workshops, and concerts. Past workshops include an Overdose Reversal Training, a Housing Workshop, and a class on Cooking with Healthy Foods. The space is open to hosting events facilitated by community members!

League Of Their Own: #LOTO is an organization that connects women from all backgrounds in a fun/healthy way through recreational sports and wellness. Through curated weekly “meet-ups” and events, women come together participating in recreational sport activities to create a bond. Our mission is to spark inspiration, raise health awareness & spread knowledge + tools to help ignite women empowerment & sisterhood.
