Zrobiliśmy ten film na taśmie przeterminowanej o dwie dekady. Czasem tak bywa, że na swój moment trzeba poczekać. Trwać w fantazji o nieskrępowanej wolności, śnić o świecie, którego wreszcie czuje się częścią - nawet jeśli jeszcze nie ma dla niego języka ani obrazu. Albo przynajmniej jeszcze się tego języka nie zna.
Family Portrait jest historią prawdziwą: o wspólnocie, a może przede wszystkim o rodzinie. O rodzinie, którą wbrew temu, co przez lata dorastania zdawało się nieodwracalnie wpisane w codzienność, można zbudować na własnych zasadach. O domu, który odnajduje się w relacjach. O bliskości, która nie musi wynikać z więzów krwi. Kultura ballroomowa w Polsce stała się dla wielu taką właśnie bezpieczną przestrzenią.

Poznajmy Martę Kaczmarek – artystkę wizualną, z którą zobaczymy się na Intersection Photo Festival! ✨
👉 Marta Kaczmarek (@mareether )to fotografka, reżyserka, artystka wizualna i vj-ka. Porusza się między fotografią artystyczną, komercyjną, nowymi mediami i obrazem ruchomym. W swojej pracy poszukuje prawdy ukrytej w momentach zawieszenia, w tym, co dzieje się pomiędzy i czego nie da się zaplanować. Portretuje osobowości ze świata muzyki, filmu i sztuki, chętnie łącząc autentyczność z absurdem i realizmem magicznym. Zarówno w projektach autorskich, jak i komercyjnych, konsekwentnie dąży do tworzenia nowych mitologii, czyli opowieści o świecie tu i teraz. Pracowała z markami takimi jak Netflix, Levi’s, Reserved, New Balance, Bimba Y Lola, Vespa oraz magazynami m.in. K MAG, Newonce, Coeval, Label, NicOtiNe Magazine. Swoje prace pokazywała w galeriach w Polsce i na świecie (PhotoVogue Festival x BASE Milano, Mono Gallery Lisboa, Extinction Rebellion x Teatr Studio).
📸 W ramach festiwalu spotkamy się z Martą podczas wspólnej debaty z Kamilem Kotarbą, a tematem przewodnim będzie zachowanie autentyczności i kreatywnej wolności w świecie marek. Spotkanie poprowadzi @jacek__kolodziejski – Kurator Programowy Intersection Photo Festival.
