Installed at the western edge of the Panhandle, this glowing meditation sculpture offers a quiet pause within one of the city’s busiest corridors of movement. Split into two halves, past and future, it invites visitors to sit within the present moment, surrounded by reflection, light, and possibility.
By day, it creates space for stillness. By night, its warm inner glow transforms it into a beacon along the park’s edge.

📣Installing today in the Panhandle.
An Attempted Murder by Jack Champion features two monumental crows 🐦⬛ Tom and Lucinda 🐦⬛ frozen in a moment that feels both tense and strangely familiar.
Set among the real-life crows of Golden Gate Park, the sculpture reflects the friction of living alongside one another: disagreement, confrontation, conversation, coexistence.
Champion’s work balances humor, scale, and unease, transforming an everyday sight into something surreal and deeply human. In a city park full of movement, the piece creates a moment to pause and reflect on how we navigate tension, communication, and community.
We can’t wait for you to meet Tom and Lucinda in person. (Swipe to the end to see the welcoming committee that greeted us this morning!)

📣Coming next week to the Panhandle.
Seed of Self by Kate Raudenbush is a glowing monumental seed split into two halves: past and future. Between them, a meditation bench invites visitors to sit inside the present moment.
By day, the piece offers a quiet pause along a corridor defined by movement. By night, the sculpture glows from within, transforming into a warm beacon along the park's edge.
Every piece added to Big Art Loop is chosen with its surroundings in mind. For this site, we wanted a piece that could hold space for reflection in the middle of the city’s rhythm and a place people could return to again and again, whether for a moment of rest, conversation, or meditation.
We can’t wait to experience this sculpture for yourself.

Friday is National Bike to Work Day. 🚲
Plan your commute: bigartloop.org/map
We’d love to see your ride. Tag @bigartloop with your favorite public art along the way.
#nationalbiketoworkday
#biketowork
Public art shapes more than a skyline. It shapes how people experience a city.
Research has linked public art and creative public spaces to lower stress, improved mood, and stronger social connection. Thoughtfully designed environments can encourage people to slow down, explore, gather, and engage more deeply with the places around them.
That’s part of the vision behind Big Art Loop.
By placing large-scale sculpture throughout San Francisco’s neighborhoods, waterfronts, and public spaces, we’re creating more opportunities for moments of pause, curiosity, reflection, and wonder to become part of everyday life.
Not separate from the city. Part of it.

If you’re out by the water this Mother’s Day…
Start at Atabey’s Treasure at Brannan Street Wharf.🐠 The work draws from Taíno stories of Atabey, a figure tied to earth, water, and fertility, often seen as a symbol of creation.
Then continue up the waterfront, where you can pick up something to eat, grab some flowers, and discover a trail of public art along the way. 💐
Enjoy the weather, explore the Loop, and don’t forget to tag us while you’re there!

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
