This music accompanies the LightPlay installation at Ipswich Art Gallery, extending its quiet magic to listeners of all ages. Artwork by Tom and Noz echoes the novel’s beautiful, uncertain world.
Noz and Tom worked only as a duo to create this one, working speedily in the first part of 2026.
Thank you to @randomizzzed_4zzz for somehow ALREADY giving one of the tracks radio time!
The Sounds of Uncertain Walls - Futashika na Kabe no Oto - 不確かな壁の音' is an exploration of urban magic — the quiet space where everyday reality brushes against a shadow world.
Inspired by Haruki Murakami’s 'The City and Its Uncertain Walls' (2023), Shugorei shapes a gentle, dreamlike soundscape that feels enchanted yet grounded in the here and now.
Created through open studio improvisations, this EP remains atmospheric and unhurried, offering a brief resting place rather than forward motion. These sounds invite you to slow down, drift, and step briefly under a spell — music that binds twilight, imagination, and ordinary life into one.
Because we worked on this so fast, we beat most of the streaming services! It's on Bandcamp as of today, where we'd prefer you to listen. Over the next few days it will arrive on all major streaming platforms.

It’s also the first of Tenzin’s albums that is available on vinyl and I am going to slip a test pressing into a random copy for one lucky attendee to take home with them.
There are a handful of tickets left so please head to the bio link or @oztix to get yours.
