Welcome to our seventh annual celebration of aggressive(ly) emotional DIY punk, hardcore and related music from around the world. NFF strives to be a welcoming place where folks with a shared love of cathartic music can come together to make life-long friendships.

We're so excited to finally share this labour of love with all of our new and old friends alike. See you in July! More info, news, and special events to be announced.

We have another shoegazy indie emo takeover in store over at Kensington market for y'all next month. An evening with special guests all the way from the UK, Don't Worry! They'll be making their final tour stop here in Toronto, running across Ontario after an appearance at Montréal's Pouzza Fest! They'll be joined by local favourites & riffers, Angel Apricot, The Neverminds, and St. Kitt's own Moe Killed My Cool.

Hot on the heels of mesmerizing new release “The Beatniks Couldn’t Save the World” through venerable Tomb Tree Tapes, B.C.’s own I.O once again finds himself in Toronto in the midst of a warpath through Canada. Having built years of experience through his truly formidable catalogue, i.o weaves entrancing tapestries of percussive sound through a never-ending onslaught of live drums and prepared guitars that bring to mind the mathy theatrics of Girlfriends or shades of Don Martin Three (and yes, inevitably Zach Hill) while staying firmly rooted in the heavy and meditative. It’s a one-of-a-kind sonic thrill—you have GOT to see it live. On top of all of this, local emo youngbloods FOXGLOVES are due to impress once again with their genre-bending technical chops, while early ‘00s Dischord worshippers LOST UNIT bring the angular dissonance. Don’t get caught wishing you were there!

PORTRAITS OF PAST play NFF’26, Sunday August 2.

We are beyond honoured to host one of our favourite bands in this corner of hardcore and punk this summer. True legends who have shaped so much of emo in the decades since their short stint as an active band. A single monumental full length full of unbridled energy and intensity many have attempted to replicate but have never come close to. We cannot wait to close out our celebrations this year with a band most of us never thought we would see live.

Quietly building up a small but strong body of work over the last decade, 2025’s “Slow Spark” EP fully demonstrates the trio’s carefully constructed chaos. The 3-piece harness their collective power through shared vocal duties, while playing a methodical brand of long-form screamo that values the quiet moments just as much as the crash that follows. “Slow Spark” navigates the ramifications of living in a cruel & unjust world, flanked on all sides by endless grief, and asks us to consider how we move through all of this with grace. Their debut Toronto appearance at Stand & Stare this past March turned a lot of heads, and they’re ready to bring the tears once again at the Lithuanian House; you’d be remiss to miss it.
