Big shouts to all who attended and performed at yesterday's ESC event. Nobody needs a lecture from me about why the music industry and popular culture in general is a load of facile dogshit, so let it suffice to say that it's a major relief to have a place like @thebeesmouth who are so supportive of genuinely underground things happening in Brighton. It's more important than it seems to have a place we can go which provides ESCAPE from the patronising wank that masquerades as art and shoves itself down our throats every day, even in a town famous for being artsy and alternative (is it fuck). All the people who comprise our community of open minded listeners here: thank you for continuing to care about cool things and make/facilitate real subculture.

I did 4 mixes which played throughout the night and I think they're quite good so grab them from https://tinyurl.com/adhmix while they're up for the next 30 days or so. Filled to the brim with weird obscurities, plus loads of unreleased music from artists that I didn't ask permission to share. Sorry if that's you. No track IDs but send me a message with timecodes if you're desperate and I'll work it out.

Next one is Carrie and Christian and Ben on the 14th June, come on down.

on Friday 15th May adhuman is collaborating with our pals at @thebeesmouth to host an evening of FREE entertainment flying in the face of a well known music industry yawn fest otherwise plaguing Brighton across the same weekend.

ESC will be less a 'gig' than a bizarro environment taking over the Bee's basement from 8-late, free for all to enter and exit as they wish throughout the night. All evening long we'll be firing the usual cracked films and oddball music right up your synapses. There will also be an ambitious, loosely scheduled line up of micro performances from some local favourites dotted throughout proceedings.

FREE ENTRY
FUN ALL NIGHT
REJECT AMBITION
EMBRACE THE UNDERGROUND

One week has passed since I returned from the Specky Blokes tour with my brothers @rorysalter__ and @bartonskreet.Whatever sequence of live dates in a different country is next for me will have to do some very heavy lifting to beat this experience. 8.5 days solid of 11/10 people, great music, lovely beers and fun, bullshit free cultural immersion. Unforgettable stuff. Especial shouts must go out to Nate for hosting and organisational efforts far above and beyond any reasonable expectations. Thanks to everyone who shot the shit, had a drink and/or came to a gig. Hopefully our paths cross again soon.

Thursday April 2nd at The Jester's Bond, NOTAFLOF. The first international acts to play at The Jester's Bond, aka my living room. Ask a punk ie email me (nostaticradioshow@gmail.com) or message @bbbboulos

Filling in for a fallen-through Ottawa date on The Specky Blokes tour of Canada that Nate is putting on under the Hamilton Tapes banner. This is a great gig for those who like their tape warble, textures, timbres, and found sound curios.

Rory Salter (London, UK)

Rory Salter (@rorysalter__) is based in London, working mostly with sound and performance, as a musician and sound technician. Recordings are available via Index Clean, TEETH, Research Laboratories, Zoomin' Night & others. A new album 'a sky cold as clay' is out now on Infant Tree.

Duncan Harrison (Brighton, UK)

Duncan Harrison (@_adhuman_), poet and sound maker, is one of the strong holders within the South English Weird Noise scene. His music displays a broad array of cut-up sound poetry, improvisational strategies and audio collages with sonic left-overs abstracted from daily environments. No surprise he regularly collaborates with the likes of Dylan Nyoukis, Karen Constance, Pascal Nichols, Ali Robertson and many more.

Shadow Pattern (Hamilton)

Nathan Ivanco’s (@bartonskreet) Shadow Pattern, based in Hamilton, Ontario, is a project for whom the term ‘under-the-radar’ is a cute understatement. Operating with scant regard for the cultivation of listenership or exposure, Ivanco’s work - both as Shadow Pattern and through his Hamilton Tapes label - usually manifests via subterraneously low-key tape editions that rarely if ever make out of his home country of Canada. Typically these releases are procured by direct contact with Ivanco himself and forgo the usual online Noise tape hype cycle. No bandcamp, no webstores, no promo, no bullshit.

Poster by @bartonskreet himself!

Thanks as always, come hang out. NO STATIC strives to provide as safe and inclusive a space as possible, but this is only contingent on those who facilitate and attend these events. Bring your friends, behave, be nice. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, abusers, predators, fascists, and the like are not welcome

If you didn't already know, it is just under a month until COLOUR OUT OF SPACE vol. 9 taking place in Brighton. Easily one of the greatest festivals on earth for all things weird, experimental and genuinely underground.

Amidst the dizzyingly killer program I will moderate a panel chat between John Macedo /Regan Bowering / Lucia H Chung / Matt Atkins / Vicky Sparrow / James Shearman and Paul Margree, discussing their solo and group activities, as well as what they're up to in the 4046 Group. This discussion plus group performances will take place on Saturday 18th 1pm - 3:30pm.

Head to www.colouroutofspace.org for more details

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
