Commonly depicted as reminiscent of an octopus or a starfish, with tentacles and a shell, Apoliti Alithia is a creature that attaches itself on a person’s head and gains control of their vision. A rooted eye protruding from the creature’s back makes its subject see solely the fixed, stable, distorted, and one-dimensional view of reality it captures. The person is never aware of the creature’s presence and enjoys the pleasurable sense of comfort Apoliti Alithia provides. According to the stories, due to its thick hide and hard shell but its tight grip as well, it is hard to remove an Apoliti Alithia from a person’s head and the host will contest any attempt for separation. Nevertheless, it is possible, although a distressing procedure for the host. The being’s origins are still not identified but speculations suggest links with a variety of entities and deities.

An object is selected to be removed from its regular place of use and it is intentionally stored in a new one. This act sometimes deactivates the initial purpose of the object which stays in the dark until it is revisited again after a period of time. When revisited, the object may carry a new purpose, a memory, a lesson, grief or bliss, even proof.

"METROPOLIS AND MEEEENTAL II"
Curated by COI
Photos by : @frankholbein
22nd March
With contributions from Palle Nielsen, Eric Stephany @ericstephany , Coyote, Marie Vedel, Albert Elm, Benjamin Savi, and others
“METROPOLIS AND MEEEENTAL II” is part of a series of exhibitions
aiming to explore the modern individual's sense of estrangement, shaped
by spatial frameworks beyond their control. Each exhibition stands indepen-
dently yet remains interwoven with others, creating a dialogue across specific
works, perspectives and places.
COI is a curatorial project and non-profit initiative that aims to present
a series of exhibitions in diverse urban spaces. The city could thus be
described as a loose-fit framework from which to create presentations
that implicitly or explicitly engage with the subject of the city and the
ways in which we make sense of, or attach meaning to the multifaceted
aspects of urban culture. The name “COI” is borrowed from a billboard
advertisement – It was part of a real estate slogan attempting to pitch
potential buyers and investors with the message: “CITY OF INTEREST”.
The exhibition is made possible through the support of the
Danish Institute in Athens and the Danish Art Foundation.

“METROPOLIS AND MEEEENTAL II” is part of a series of exhibitions aiming to explore the modern individual's sense of estrangement, shaped by spatial frameworks beyond their control. The outset for this endeavor is based on an interest in the ways in which artistic practices contribute to the understanding of the urban and its psychological dimensions. Each exhibition stands independently yet remains interwoven with others, creating a dialogue across specific works, perspectives and places.
COI is a curatorial project and non-profit initiative that aims to present a series of exhibitions in diverse urban spaces. The city as an overall theme is not surveyed in general, on the contrary, it is analyzed and portrayed from diverse, consciously fragmentary points of view. The city could thus be described as a loose-fit framework from which to create presentations that implicitly or explicitly engage with the subject of the city and the ways in which we make sense of, or attach meaning to the multifaceted aspects of urban culture. The name “COI” is borrowed from a billboard advertisement –It was part of a real estate slogan attempting to pitch potential buyers and investors with the message: “CITY OF INTEREST”.

Join us for the opening night this Saturday!
Opening starts 7PM (bar + music to midnight)
ERIK SWARS: L
curated by Frank Holbein and Nadja Geer:
It is not surprising that a work by Erik Swars hangs next to one by Imi Knoebel in Ken Nakahashi’s gallery in Tokyo – there is something in the aesthetics of Swars, born 1988, that connects to the group around Knoebel, Rainer Giese, and Blinky Palermo, namely Swars’ purism and experimentalism.
production: Nikos Katsampanis
communication/sm: Cristina Koutsolioutsou
Opening 7pm
After-Party in the Basement
Bar: Alphaville
DJ: Spencer Clark
Opening Hours:
First week (8/4-13/4): Everyday 4 to 8pm
and by appointment
after that Wed-Sat 4-8pm

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
