Twin Brother is modern, heavy, jazz fusion music with a soul (or two souls?) The band is fronted by electric bassist and composer John Lisi. After quickly garnering acclaim across social media, drawing countless comparisons to bass luminaries like Jaco Pastorius and Thundercat, Lisi began the Twin Brother project in 2024. Debut album “Who’s Keeping Score?” was released in August 2025- the music is equal parts catchy, explosive, and cerebral.

Twin Brother’s live band features Declan Sheehy-Moss (EWI), Ransom McCafferty (drums), and Shauli Guttman (electric guitar).

Joined by CGI JESUS & ENTR.

So after five years, I’m finally taking a pretty big personal step and putting out my second CGI Jesus record. This album features my faves @mrryaneaster, @m_a_t_t_b_e_n_t, @girth_of_a_nation, and there’s no one else I’d rather have contributed and breathed life into this music…. These dudes are immensely special musicians and people. This series of songs is inspired by everything from jazz music and the hardcore, punk, chamber music, and genre-less experimental music I grew up loving, to things both tangible and conceptual, such as the craziness of life in New York City over the past five or six years, basketball, uppers, the friends that I hold dear, and the loves I’ve yearned for.

This collection of music is fast, visceral, high octane, and seemingly chaotic, but at the same time it’s precise, surgical, intentional, patient, and always very, very heartfelt.

I hope you guys dig it. Out 3/24.

We’re doing a release show/birthday celebration for our beloved Ace at Dada 3/25, ft. Former CGI member and baddest motherfucker out, Garen Dorsey… come hang and celebrate!

Thursday, 9/4, my long time band (of almost 10yrs(!!)), @cgi.jesus, is back, playing for the first time at @dadabarnyc…
These dudes are truly the absolute baddest and I miss playing with them deeply, so to make up for it, we’re doing not one, but two sets of CGI classics and new stuff as well.

On May 17th Bushwick’s Kaleidoscope Studios in tandem with @two_enchanted_hammers hosts a night of top notch experimental music featuring local musical chameleon and kaleidoscope regular, Kevin Eichenberger’s longtime post-everything chamber/improv group, CGI Jesus (Ryan Easter, Matt Bent, Adam Turay), hypermodern glitch-pop/improv outfit Toso Toso (Isa Crespo Pardo, Rahul Carlberg, Celia Hill, Kabir Ahiya-Kumar), and returning to Kaleidoscope, NYC’s most beloved violinist from the future, Scott Li.
