@coolmaritime is the sonic universe of Santa Cruz-raised musician and filmmaker Sean Hellfritsch. The name says most of it: tides, winds, shifting light, translated into sound.

His releases on Western Vinyl and Leaving Records draw from a life spent near the ocean: lush, breathing arrangements that ebb and flow the way currents do. Technically electronic, entirely organic. There is joy in the work, and something that sounds like deep belonging to a specific coastal geography.

Earthling’s outdoor listening party is built on this: a bring-your-own-blanket, free plus donation gathering for sound and nature lovers. On May 30, Earthling and AYLI bring the Spring 2026 Unabridged Open Air to Elk Glen Meadow in Golden Gate Park.

Isaac Sherman is a musician, composer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA.Engaging with an array of analog and digital synthesizers, samplers, guitars and vocals, his music blends elements of experimental pop, kosmische, minimalism, ambient music and experimental jazz. His live shows offer a range of musical presentations, from structured compositions to free-flowing improvisations. He has performed at venues around Los Angeles such as Zebulon, 2220 Arts + Archives, Gold Diggers, Permanent Records, Healing Force Records - joining bills with musicians such as Dustin Wong, Julius Smack, Nicole McCabe, Walt McClements, Gregory Uhlmann, and more.

Joining Sherman is Cool Maritime, who's work on Western Vinyl and Leaving Records celebrates the organic through electronics. Also performing is local legend Chuck Johnson, who's own work continues to evolve and was recently announced as a performer at the esteemed Big Ears Festival.

hi! today i am on my way to meet @mlesprg and @plancha_92104 in japan. emily and i are going to play our water wizard sounds in hokkaido, tokyo, osaka, nagoya and matsumoto. we conclude our adventure in nagano, at a forest camping festival @eachstory2024

then i will set off on my own to visit seoul and play in a temple with @mohani_43 - and a few days later another show (+ talk about my creative process) at @kunstkabinett_seoul

after that i will be nestling into a new home back in the bay area! over the winter i am going to record the music i've been playing live and that will become my next album :)

feeling so very grateful for this life and the wonderful, sweet-hearted people around me, i am endlessly beholding and savoring
