Hey all! Brian and Dave here writing to tell you about our new duo Croz Boyce. Been working on this one a long time and excited for you all to finally hear it. After we did the “Brown Thrasher” track for The Birdsong Project compilation in 2021, we thought there was more in that vein to explore together. Maybe an entire record. The Meeting of The Waters EP started the trip a little earlier without us being aware, and the more we went down the stream to Brown Thrasher, the more distant the voice. When firmly in the current, the more interested we got in seeing where we’d end up if the voice disappeared altogether. We started the first track “Hanging Out With A Blueberry Pop” in January 2023 in our personal studios and returned to the songs every few months when opportunity arose in between our other projects. By October 2025 after a week of mixing by the stream at Out There Studios in western NC, and a few days of finish line polish with brother Jmin in Baltimore, it felt done and ready to share. And speaking of the freshwater, take some time today to immerse yourself in the springs with a video for “Hanging Out…” by Joseph Ricketts. As always thanks for listening - CB

Means a lot to me to say this is out in the world. Get to it if you want, when you can and when it feels right.
People seem to like the title and how it makes them think about their youth. It does for me too and that is certainly one aspect. It has a lot of meanings for me, but mostly, it was something I said every day for a long time, and then I didn’t, and I’ve been healthier and felt better ever since (though they still smell so good.) There were other things I said every day that made me feel unhealthy, one of which was I don’t think I have a proper solo album in me. Once I wrote this material and played it live for the first time, I felt that wasn’t true anymore and I wanted to stop saying it. To stop saying “can I get a pack of camel lights?”, I had to quit smoking. And to stop saying I couldn’t turn this music into a solo album, I had to do it. Wasn’t sure if I could, so no coincidence it’s titled as a question. Plus I never said “gimme a pack of camel lights” anyway. I can’t pull off that vibe, nor do I want to. Honestly, I probably always said “please,” but that’s not as cool of a title.
Endless thanks to everyone who helped me make it @adam.mcdaniel.dos @_dropofsun_@aaaveytttare @alligayytor @aliannaclicmob @em_garau @shanejusticemccord @frogohmine @liiiiiioooooooonnnnnn bonkers @heba_kadry @iz_barber @nastanovich67 @mojackpod @dragcityrecords
And all of you for listening. Heading out west next month. Shows with Bitchin Bajas, Cool Maritime, DPSD, Dean Spunt, and Cecyl Ruehlen! Dates in the linktree.

New interview up with Croz Boyce, the side project of @aaaveytttare & @geobriensystem of @anmlcollective
Excerpts above and below.
[Synth History What have been some mainstay pieces of gear throughout your career?
Brian Weitz: Roland SH-2 synthesizer. I got one for free from a summer camp in the mid-90’s. They had no idea what it was. We’ve been using it since high school and used it on every AC album through Centipede Hz. It’s done double duty both as a synth and an fx processor. It’s been in the basement for a while though because I got too familiar with it and on the road I need to recall presents more than I used to.
Dave Portner: For me it’s the Roland Juno 60. It remains my favorite synth to play. I’ve had the same one since 1998.]

When @wowsugi named the MFsJMB tour the “4Q” tour, I had no idea she was tempting fate to have my finger stuck in this position. But a torn tendon can’t keep this MF at home. Show must go on, so shows will go on. I’ll practice one finger down/up and we’ll see you in the southeast next week!

sometimes a doctor laughs at you for telling him something a doctor should know because you saw a medical scene in a movie and it made you feel like a doctor.
such an incident is discussed on episode 1078 of the Kreative Kontrol We’re Not Doctors podcast, because Brian Weitz is here to discuss the solo debut by Geologist, ‘Can I Get a Pack of Camel Lights?,’ his previous academic and vocational pursuits in environmental and ocean policy on Capitol Hill, how his interest in playing the hurdy gurdy led him to Ben Grossman, Guelph, Ontario, and my inbox a few years ago, why a Keiji Haino show at the New York City club Tonic made a huge impression on him as a university student, his friendship with the late David Berman and smoking the last cigarette David gave him, his interest in drone, noise, and artists on the SST record label, how much he has always loved Pavement, a tangent about the life-saving film Spies Like Us, future plans for Animal Collective and himself, and much more.
this Geologist album ist rad and it was a pleasure to finally speak with Brian about his life and work. check out ‘Can I Get a Pack of Camel Lights?’ wherever music is sold for a rather reasonable price if you really think about it, and hear our talk on my Kreative Kontrol podcast. thanks!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
