"For me, as a filmmaker who likes to focus on coming of age stories, 'family friendly' is a wonderful category. Whether it be a teenager coming in recognising themselves on screen and maybe their friendships on screen, all the way up to a parent coming in and watching the same thing and realising 'oh yeah, I remember when I went through that as well.'"

Christie Arnold @csarnold10 won Best Family Friendly at ASFF 2025 with 'Girls Together', a short coming-of-age adventure film focused on the friendship between three fourteen-year-olds and a fox. She chats about the film's inspiration and the power of family friendly films.

Every summer, friends Rena, Zep and Lauren build a fort in the woods out of forgotten furniture. On this final summer day, Rena struggles to tell her friends a secret she’s been hiding from them.

Last summer I was offered my first assistant edit trainee position on The End of It. Needless to say I was SWEATING walking into the post house on day 1. Now that production is having its premiere at Cannes Film Festival as an official selection.
