“Hold On” is my psychedelic country western soul realization that I am holding on to a relationship that is no longer serving either of us. I imagined this song in Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained when I wrote it, so we went to the desert to bring that vision to life.

In this age of AI, I wanted to make something raw, organic, with the cracks that expose the real shit. There’s pain in these songs, and it was hard to write some of them, but I’m glad I did, and I’m grateful for the love that made these songs happen. I’m excited for y’all to hear my version of Nashville Soul and come on this next journey with me. ⏳🖤🙌🏾

I wrote Moonflower for that feeling. That love that only comes alive after midnight and then disappears the second the sun comes up…like it was never yours in the first place.

Tonight’s the last episode of @colbertlateshow and I’m so damn grateful he believed in my “What’s Going On” project during the pandemic. Here’s a snippet of “Mercy, Mercy Me” that aired on Colbert, ft. some of my favorite musicians in the world.

I don’t know you @jamespcrane but I love this message, and I even wrote a song about it called IRL. 🙌🏾 This song is about shutting off the phone and doing the things and connecting with the people you love in real life.
