Reposting this as a reminder to myself when everything feels scary and uncertain: sometimes pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is the best thing you can do.

This performance on @itv #AllStarMusicals in 2022 was the first time I’d ever sung on primetime TV (filmed in a pitch black, empty studio thanks to COVID), and it led to a chain of events that took my career in a completely different direction… and I am so grateful it did.

Keep dreaming, keep trying, keep pushing, keep taking chances and keep being hopeful… you never know where the universe is going to take you 🤎

Rehearsals have started, and we were delighted to welcome Dr Ranj Singh to the room today to celebrate the return of @thewaleedakhtar’s Olivier winning play.

Doctor, TV personality and musical theatre star Dr Ranj said: “For me, it’s about championing South Asian and queer voices in theatre, backing bold new writing and encouraging audiences to engage with live theatre that truly challenges stigma and inspires greater openness around issues that affect so many of us.”

Today a service was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London to remember all those affected by the NHS infected blood scandal. I spoke to three of those impacted in a special film for @bbcmorninglive.

It’s estimated around 30,000 people were infected with HIV or Hepatitis C is what is known as the biggest treatment disaster in NHS history. Despite an official inquiry and recommendations, many are still waiting for answers, accountability and compensation.
